There are three words I would use to describe Sandylion's Tropical Paradise Collection - Bright, Cheery, and Colorful! The six light weight 12" x 12" papers in this collection are all fun and unique. I was presented with an array of funky stripes, tropical paradise words, tiki carvings, palm trees, surfboard waves, cute bubble circles, and hibiscus flowers. The color palette was a variety of hot pinks, blues, lime greens, oranges, yellows, and browns! The collection included 3 different sticker sheets, all of which were just as bright and colorful as the papers. The Tropical Words and Tropical Paradise stickers were decorated with sparkly glitter and had raised letters which really made them pop! All of the stickers have a clear background that becomes transparent when applied to a new surface, and I thought this was cool because you could easily create different looks just by adding a little paint or ink behind them!
For my first layout, I chose to use some pictures from a recent trip to the zoo, because the colors matched perfectly with my pictures. I loved that some of the stripes on the Chaise Lounge paper were actually angled, allowing me to just cut and add a interesting design element to my page! I cut up the Tropical Words paper and used it for my title and as an embellishment. Last but not least, I added some of the cute sparkly stickers to compliment the design!

I love how sticker sheets like the Tropical Words, make it so easy to create a cute layout in no time. I love to use black and white photos, but especially with bright colors like these! It allows you to use super bright and bold colors, yet still keep the focus on the photo! I trimmed my photo to the same size as the sticker sheet, used my paper trimmer to cut the sticker sheet directly, and then simply placed adhesive on the back and stuck the sticker sheet down as is. To add a little dimension, I adhered a couple of the stickers to cardstock, trimmed them and then placed pop dots behind them and set them right back in their original spots. I used some more of the funky stripes from the Chaise Lounge paper and placed them on both sides of my photo/sticker strip. I used the edge of the stripes to journal along and then just added a title!

I have to say that I was a little skeptical at first because I didn't think the collection really fit my usual style, however after creating my layouts I was surprised to find that I was really happy with the finished projects. I thought these products would be great for making the cutest party invitations or cards for friends that need a little cheering up. I think Sandylion's Tropical Paradise collection is a good choice for those scrapbookers looking to brighten up their layouts and have a little fun!

Just take a peek at Sandylion's Tropical Paradise Collection and you'll be whisked away to the islands for a quick getaway. Don't we all need a break from the pressures of everyday life? Add some Jimmy Buffet music and a hammock and I'm there!
Containing 6 different 12" x 12" patterned papers and 3 different 5 1/2" x 12" sticker modules, Sandylion has it covered for those beach vacation and backyard luau pictures with the Tropical Collection. Boasting bright colors of green, orange, pink, yellow and blue, the patterns match the topic to a "tee". Palm trees, totem poles, hibiscus flowers, stripes, groovy dots and a tropical word collage all blend harmoniously together for a complete shift to the tropics. The patterns are bold, completely casual and FUN!
The stickers coordinate perfectly with the patterned papers which is the trademark of Sandylion's themed collections. Two of the stickers sheets have added glitter to the images, which in my opinion, adds to the party atmosphere of the paper. Each sheet has over 20 stickers with images and phrases or words matching the patterned paper. The stickers come off the sheet easily with just as simple application.
I couldn't wait to dive into a circle journal project with a theme about color. What a perfect collection for me because it contains two of my favorite colors: kiwi green and red. The pages came together quickly using the stickers as embellishments with a mix of patterned paper. The paper is a lighter weight making it easy to tear and show the inner white core.

I couldn't resist using this paper to document a special bird that came to my feeder recently. Living in South Florida, we see a lot of tropical birds flying around free in the environment, but it was quite different when this one got so close. The colors in the paper were ideal to match the bird's feathers all grounded with brown.

I found this collection fun to work with on many levels. The variety in the patterned paper allowed for creating layouts close to the theme of the paper and for other occasions or subjects. This paper would make great birthday or kid pages just as well as the vacation pages. Keep it in mind for your upcoming "happy" layouts, you'll have a smile on your face just from the colors and patterns!

Sandylion offers so many different options for theme-based scrapbook supplies, it’s hard to imagine one that they haven’t developed yet. Amazingly enough, the Sandylion Tropical Paradise Collection is one theme they hadn’t developed previously, but after receiving my papers from this collection, I do believe it is going to be very popular.
The Sandylion Tropical Paradise Collection consists of six different patterned papers, and three different sets of stickers. The Patterned Papers are: Chaise Lounge, Ocean Spray, Floral Paradise, On the Beach, Tropical Words, and Tiki. The three sticker sheets are extremely fun. All of the products boast bright, fun colors, and two of the sticker sheets also include beautiful glittered accents. I was immediately impressed by the colors, texture of the stickers, and fun shapes that are a part of this collection when I opened my box.
For my first page, I decided to use the “On the Beach” paper as the starting point for my page. I am always amazed at how quickly my layouts go whenever I use the Sandylion coordinated products to complete my pages. I used my craft knife to cut around the outline on the palm tree printed on the page, then added a few stickers and other accents, and I love the resulting page.

I have really enjoyed working with the Sandylion Tropical Paradise products. I have several other pages planned, using the remaining products that I have. I feel these products are perfect for capturing not only tropical vacation themed layouts, but also any summertime themed layout, or any other type of layout where one wanted to use bright, bold patterns. If you haven’t checked out Sandylion yet, then this is the time to do so.

The papers and sticker sets in Sandylion’s new Tropical Paradise Collection are just that – papers and stickers from paradise! This collection is luscious. Now, that was one of my grandmother’s words and I don’t use it very often. But it so aptly describes the colors and designs in this collection that I just have to use it! Think hibiscus flowers, palm trees, and the swirls of a tropical ocean wave, throw in some native tiki carvings and words like aloha, beach bum, and getaway and there you have it …. the perfect collection for all your tropical vacations and dreams.
There are six papers in this collection: Tropical Words, Tiki, Floral Paradise, Ocean Spray, Chaise Lounge and On the Beach. The colors range from yellow to orange/red, green to blue and brown for the Tikis. There are three different stickers sets: Tropical adventure, Tropical words and Tropical paradise. All the stickers are on a clear background which disappears when you lay down the sticker and two of the sheets (words and paradise) have raised, glittery accents. Yum!!!!!
I know that with many of my Sandylion reviews, I have proclaimed that collection to be my “favorite.” Well they all have to move over, because this is now my favorite collection to date. Maybe it’s because tropical venues are my favorite places to visit or because I live near the ocean, or maybe it’s just because I love the designs and colors of this line. Whatever the reason, I do love this collection!
In true Sandylion fashion, these papers are “paper weight” but strong enough to take altering abuse from sanding, inking, tearing, crumpling or sewing. Layering is a breeze without weighing down your project. The sticker designs are clever and fun and the selection of tropical words is ample. Whether you’re scrapping your favorite “umbrella” drink, an afternoon luau, or just a day at the beach – you’ll find the perfect words and stickers to enhance your project.
For my first project I selected two of the bold pattern designs, floral paradise and chaise lounge, to compliment a photo of my niece in front of our bougainvilla. Some glittery chipboard flourishes were the perfect accent for these fun papers.

The latest scrapping habit that I’m trying to develop is to use my scraps BEFORE I put them away, by making a card or altered item. Using the scraps from my layout, I created this quick, fun card. The clear hibiscus stickers were the perfect embellishment and the word sticker sheet provided a fun title. A gorgeous card in under ten minutes!

This new Tropical Paradise Collection from Sandylion is definitely on my “must have” list. Its bold patterns and bright color palette will draw you in immediately. Although it is a “tropical” design, I'm confident that you will find many other uses for it.

Oh, to vacation on the shores of a tropical island with my feet in the soft sand, the children splashing in the cool ocean water and the sweet smell of the local flora soothing me. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to plan a tropical dream vacation. Nonetheless, I have many layouts and projects that I could create with the Sandylion Tropical Paradise collection.
For my review I received 12" x 12" patterned paper sheets with 6 different designs and three sticker sheets. The patterned paper designs I received were: On the Beach, Ocean Spray, Chaise Lounge, Tropical Words, Tiki and Floral Paradise. Most of the papers were brightly colored with aqua, orange, brown, red, yellow, pink and green.
My first project was a 12" x 12" layout. I used the Floral Paradise paper which has an aqua background and hibiscus and leaves of different sizes and colors. I cut my "swirl" out of this patterned paper. I added stickers from all three sticker sheets. The brown tiki and the hibiscus on the photo is from the Tropical Adventure sheet. The large coconut tree, bird, flowers and sun are from the Tropical Paradise sheet. The words are from the Tropical Words sheet. I liked that Tropical Paradise and Tropical Words stickers had glitter on them so they stand out on the page. The Tropical Adventure sheet does not have glitter so the tiki can keep his more masculine look!

The San Diego Zoo layout is a smaller 9" x 9" layout for our wedding album I'm finally working on. I trimmed the coconut tree from the On the Beach paper which has an aqua background and a coconut tree, hibiscus and wave designs on the bottom right corner. Unfortunately, when 12" x 12" papers have designs like this one I end up having to trim part of the design away to fit it on my smaller sized layouts. Also, the design had some white circles which really seemed to stand out from the rest of the design. I matted my photo on the Ocean Spray paper which has a white background filled with colored circles, dotted circles and more circles in various sizes and colors. I used Chaise Lounge which is designed with lots of brightly colored stripes in varying widths to create a faux ribbon on the bottom left of the page. I took the "Life is Good" sticker from the Tropical Words sheet and trimmed it to make three smaller stickers so it would fit better on the page.
