I had heard of JustRite Stampers before, but only for the address stampers. So when I heard we were reviewing their Monogram Stamper, I was intrigued. JustRite Stampers have been in business for over 100 years. They have expanded their lines to include many products that scrapbookers are finding quite interesting. For this review, I worked with the JustRite Round Monogram Stamper. It arrived nicely packaged in a bubble package and at first glance it looked there wasn’t much to it at all. The packaging was very deceiving, however. There is actually quite a bit to the JustRite Round Monogram Stamper.

The JustRite Round Monogram Stamper includes one small alphabet and one large alphabet. Both of these alphabets are interchangeable and interlocking. There are also four border designs included. The Monogram Stamper itself is a cylindrical black stamper with a reversible ink pad. The ink pad is already inked with black ink on one side and the other side is dry. There are also step-by-step instructions with pictures included in the packaging. I was very grateful for those. This set retails for approximately $29.95.

At first, I was intimidated by the Monogram Stamper. After reading the directions, I started playing and soon realized that using the Monogram Stamper was incredibly easy. It was also very easy to change out the alphabets and the borders. I did find that the stamps tended to work themselves loose after stamping multiple images. Pushing the stamps back down can actually be a messy proposition when you are using the black ink side of the reversible pad. I found it was easier to just keep a paper towel right beside me and used it to push the stamps back down securely in place. A tip when you are stamping with the Monogram Stamper - put a foam pad under your paper. You will get a crisper and cleaner image.

I chose to put Versamark ink on the other side of the reversible ink pad. I would like to be able to do many colors instead of being tied down to only two colors. It's nice that replacement pads are available so that you can use many different colors if you want to for variety.

I absolutely love the monogram look and had been wanting to incorporate some monograms in a wedding album I am putting together right now. The JustRite Round Monogram Stamper was perfect for what I wanted to do. I used the beautiful swirl border and the first initial of the newlyweds last name. It was perfect.

My next project was so much fun! My daughter is learning to read and asked for a bookmark the other day to mark her place in a book. Well, I couldn't find one around the house, so together we decided to make each of us three bookmarks. My daughter helped with the stamping and she had so much fun. The JustRite Round Monogram Stamper is easy enough for a six year old to use.

I enjoyed using the JustRite Round Monogram Stamper. I did find it a bit messy but I am a messy scrapbooker so that was probably more me than the product itself. I would love to see more ink pads made available for use in this stamper and also would love to see more fonts made available. The Monogram Stamper made monograms so easy.

I found this Monogram Stamper to be so easy to use and very versatile. It is also very economical. I know that I will be using this stamper for many more projects to come. It makes monograms easy, fun, and incredibly addicting! For $30, you get a never ending assortment of all different kinds of monograms. You have the three letter monogram, the three letter monogram with border, the one letter monogram with border, the monogram only, the border only, and so many more combinations. The possibilities are endless with the JustRite Round Monogram Stamper. I recommend this product to both beginners and advanced scrapbookers alike. JustRite Stampers has released a round monogram stamp that is reminiscent of another company’s circular and oval stampers that have become so popular lately. The difference? The JustRite Stampers Round Monogram Stamper is customizable. With so many different variations that one can create with this pre-inked customizable stamper, there’s little need for anything else.

When I heard we would be reviewing a stamp from JustRite Stampers, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I have some of the original JustRite Stamper changeable alphabet stampers. I’ve enjoyed using those, but I wasn’t quite sure what else was in store. When I opened my package, I was instantly captivated! The JustRite Stampers Round Monogram Stamper is described on the website as “the perfect ‘Do-It-Yourself’ kit for creating your own monogram stamp.” I would have to agree. There are two sets of alphabets included in the kit; one large, one small. Additionally, there are four different border stamps in the kit for use. There is a dotted border, a flowery looking border, a flourish border, and lined border. Each of these different options pops directly into a slotted background meant for holding the stamps. The stamps fit into the slotted area perfectly. It is extremely simple to change the characters for the monogram, that I found myself changing it over and over again. With the small letters, one can fit up to four letters per line, making the number of things that can be stamped with just this one stamper endless.

On my first project, I decided to use the JustRite Stamper Round Monogram Stamper just as it is intended; as a monogram stamp. I always try to include a monogram somewhere on my son’s layouts, to quickly identify which child the layout is about. I used one of the large characters, along with the lined border to stamp on this page.

For my next project, I decided to use the JustRite Stamper Round Monogram Stamper as the title element for an altered frame that I will give to my mother for Mother’s Day. I simply changed the letters in the stamper, and stamped my title onto a covered chipboard circle. So easy to do, frankly, I was amazed.

I give this product a very high recommendation.

When I first saw the JustRite Round Monogram Stamper at CHA, my mind started racing with ideas for all the possible uses for this unique and innovative tool. The Stamper is self-inking with interchangeable letters and borders and replaceable ink pads which allow you great flexibility in using the stamp. One side of the pad is inked in black and the other is dry and ready for the ink of your choice.

The Basic kit includes a full set of 26 one-inch tall monogram letters, a double set of half-inch tall letters, and four decorative border rings. Available for separate purchase (not reviewed here) are small letters and extra ink pads. Soon to be added are medium and large numbers.

The stamp and accompanying letters come packaged in a blister pack with a full-size folded cardboard insert. Inside the insert are detailed, illustrated and easy-to-follow instructions for inserting the letters and decorative rings, removing and replacing the ink pad and operating the stamp. The letters come ready to use, stored in convenient rubber holders.

First, here’s a look at the Stamper with a monogram and decorative border already inserted, and the other letters and rings.

The ink pad is easily removed and replaced. For the most flexibility, I decided to ink up the dry side with embossing ink. This will allow me to emboss my images in any color I wish. This picture shows the ink pad half-way removed.

The rubber letters are easy to insert. You simply select the letter or decorative ring you wish to use from the storage holder and push it into place on the stamp surface. There is a simple locking mechanism which holds the stamp “open,” making this process very easy to accomplish.

The stamping area at the bottom of the stamp is open, allowing easy viewing of the target area. This takes all the guesswork out of the stamping. What a great feature!!

I put this monogram stamp to use right away to create a set of personalized note cards and matching envelopes. I used each of the different border rings along with a variety of formats for the monograms. All of these were stamped with embossing ink and embossed with purple embossing powder.

Flowers (Prima)
Ink (Tsukineko, Versamark)
Embossing powder (Creative Beginnings, Candy Violet)
Rhinestones (K&Co.; Target)
Adhesive (Adhesive Tech Permanent Tape Runner; Glue Dots)

There are many uses for this Stamper besides the obvious monograms. I used it to create this round gift tag then punched it out using a 1 3/4" round punch.

It was also perfect for stamping a friendly “Hi” on this card.

This Round Monogram Stamper has to be one of the most exciting paper crafting tools I have gotten in quite some time. Its ease and versatility of use make it a go-to product for me. I’m very excited about the potential for adding smaller letters as well as numbers and a greater variety of ink colors. I highly recommend this product for its unique look of stamping on paper crafting projects.

Monograms are everywhere and have been for awhile. From monogrammed pillows and towels to monogrammed shoes as seen on Oprah. So the idea of a monogram stamp is not new but the way that JustRite has done it is new to scrapbooking.

The JustRite Monogram Stamper arrived packaged in a clear plastic packaging. Enclosed is a round monogram stamper, two sizes of fonts and four border designs. The stamped is 1 1/2 inches wide at the largest point. The fonts are capital letters with the large font being 1 inch letters and the smaller font is 1/2 inch in height. This stamp allows you to interchange and mix and match.

Four Borders

When I opened the package I was happy to find that there are step-by-step instructions included. The instructions explain how to lock the stamp in place by pressing the two red buttons on the sides of the stamp. With the stamp locked in place I could now design the image. The first creation was going to be the swirl border and the large "J" for Jones. I followed the instructions to turn the reversible ink pad from the dry side to the black ink side. I stamped a few envelopes with this image in the black ink.

Monogram Stamped Image

I then decided to use the smaller font and see if I could stamp a word. Using the bubble border I stamped the word "Thanks" to be used on the front of a card. I found that while placing the single large letter was simple, placing the smaller letters was more of a task. I had to try a few times to get the letters to line up correctly under each other. Also, the spacing was not consistent even though the letters were placed right next to each other. Though the directions do state that the letters can be trimmed, I decided to leave them as they were. I believe three letters across in two rows is the most that the stamp can fit. However, straight across the middle I was able to fit four letters. With that in mind, there are many words that could be stamped either on one line or by dividing the word into two.

Cardstock (Prism Papers)
Patterned Paper (Tinkering Ink; Perfectly Posh)
Rubber Stamps (JustRite Monogram Stamper)
Ink (Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Brushed Corduroy)
Adhesive (Adhesive Tech, Permanent Glue Runner)

The final project was to use the dry ink pad. I rubbed embossing ink on the dry pad. When I stamped the "S" I then embossed it with silver glitter embossing powder. Unfortunately, my embossing side did get dirty with black ink the next time I tried to flip it due to black ink being on the stamper. However, this has not affected the images I stamp.

The JustRite Monogram Stamper is a great product. I like all the options available to stamp monograms, words or even just a border. Placing the large font letters is easy but placement of the smaller letters takes more precision. It is important to clean the stamp before trying to change the image or else you end up with inky fingers! I would recommend this stamp that retails for just $29.95. That price may be more than other stamps but when you take into account all the various combinations of images it is definitely a good buy!

I don’t know about you but I am loving circles these days! Anything from journaling circles, to circles in patterned paper, to circle embellishments… just so long as they are round. I also love stamps. So mixing the two into one very versatile product is something that is right up my alley! JustRite Stamps introduced a do it your self Monogram Stamper kit set.

The kit comes in a sealed plastic clamshell pack. Inside you find the self-inking stamp container, four border rounds, one large alphabet, and one small alphabet. This stamp uses an interlocking system for attaching the stamps to the self-inking stamp base. The interlocking system is a set of groves found on the back of the stamps and on the circular base on the self inking stamp base.

The self-inking stamp base is similar in style to any press down self-inking office stamp. However this one has been modified to fit the needs of a paper crafter. The red buttons on the side are locks to be used when adding stamps or when you want to change the ink.

The ink well is removable on this self-inking stamp. One side comes inked with black ink, while the other is dry. One really great feature is that you can add your favorite ink color or embossing ink, expanding the possibilities!

In looking at the packaging I got the feeling that this product was created with mainly stampers or card makers in mind, due to the examples being all cards and envelopes. So I started my projects with a monogram card. I began by looking for a circle punch that was the exact size to the circles in the Monogram Stamper. None of the ones I have were the perfect size, so I went with a 2” punch and stamped my image off center. I love the scroll border stamp! I added it to my monogram and stamped the paper that I punched. Then I inked the edges in black and added it to my card. I really wish that I had a circle punch that was the perfect size, but I feel that this works.

My second project is a layout where I used the small monogram alphabet to spell part of my title. I love the look that this gave me on the tag. One thing that I noticed while stamping my title is that the stamp didn’t stamp evenly on the first tries. Even after stamping several test images, I still got a partially stamped image. I believe this to be caused, at least partly, by the rough texture of the paper.

I am very excited about this product. I love that it is more than just a monogram stamp. With the ability to stamp small words or just borders, this product is more than it’s name says. I do have some requests, though. I would love to see additional sets of letters in different fonts, different circle designs. I also would love to see a punch manufactured to match the circle diameter of the stamped image. I can only see a bright future for the JustRite Monogram Stamper.
