Green Grass Stamps are newcomers to the paper crafting world. They manufacture UNMOUNTED stamps which are becoming increasingly popular due to their lower cost and ease of storage. Green Grass further adds to the convenience by packing EZ Mount foam with all of their deeply etched red rubber stamps.
I worked with the "Card Greetings" stamps. This set of stamps is contained on a sheet approximately 5" x 7" jam packed full of stamps. It contains twenty-four sentiments from wedding to baby to thank you to birthday to "just because" sayings. It also has several flowers, stars, and photo corner stamps. Its a bargain at $21.99 for the entire set which also INCLUDES the EZ Mount.
I began with making some cards which is the obvious thing with a card greeting set.

Since ScrapFriends is primarily a scrapbooking site, I also wanted to try the stamps on a couple of layouts. I found that the words "party time" lent themselves well to being part of the title and also served as a border on the right of the page.

You just gotta love alphabet stamps! They are the most versatile supply in your scrapbook stash. Gone are the days of running out of "e's" or not having the right color for the project. Green Grass Stamps offers 3 fonts and other designs for card making or general design.
The unmounted rubber sheet arrived in a clear cellophane bag with a piece of EZ Mount Cling Foam cut to the size of the sheet. There was a colorful insert showing the stamp designs for reference. I received the Back to the Futura font which is a lower case crisp and clean letter about an inch tall. The sheet included the full alphabet, numbers and punctuation topping off at 45 images total. Some letters were close together on the sheet, so taking extra care during trimming was necessary.
The red rubber itself is deeply etched to provide a solid stamped image. Each image has nice solid lines, so it was very clear where to cut out around the letter or number.
This font was ideal for heat embossing due to it's solid characteristics. The size is great for a title, so I used that right away!

I used both heat embossing and ink stamping for the next page. The ampersand worked great as a heart peeking out from behind the "love" tab.

Green Grass Stamps has a good product here. The spacing between the alphabet letters could be a little larger to make it easier to trim the stamp sheet. The images are simple to use, are a good size and can be used for many types of projects. The Back to the Futura set is one that I can see myself selecting over and over for my stamping needs. I look forward to see what Green Grass Stamps comes out with next!
Review by RachelI love stamps so I can just never have enough! I was excited when I found out we were going to be reviewing a stamp company called Green Grass Stamps. I had never heard of this company before so I had no previous experience using their stamps. I received two sets of stamps. The first is “Li’l Monster 2” and the second was “Flourishing.” Let me just tell you these two stamp sets couldn’t be further from each other. One is fun, whimsical and silly and the other is elegant, beautiful and classic.
The Green Grass Stamp sets come packaged in clear cellophane already mounted on EZ Mount for you! The packages measure 5 ½ inches by 4 ¼ inches. All the sets come with their own color index print. The images are spaced very close together which is a wonderful use of rubber but you need to be careful when cutting out your images. The stamps are deeply etched with great detail and the rubber is a high quality red rubber.
My daughter enjoys stamping with me and she LOVES the “Li’l Monster 2” set. These little monsters are friendly and silly! The set contains 15 different stamps varying in sizes from ½ inch to 1 ¾ inch. The average size of stamp is 1 ¼ inch. This set retails for $11.99. She had so much fun picking out the stamps to use for her mad money bank. She and I worked together to make her bank. And yes, she even wanted one of the flourishes from the “Flourishing” set to grace her bank. She loves her bank and already has many more ideas for this stamp set. This set is a fun one for the children in your life. It would make great birthday cards; get well cards, birthday invitations, or even a layout about all those invisible friends in your child’s life. I want to do a layout about those invisible friends my daughter seems to have!

The next set is the “Flourishing” set and it is one of my favorites. It is beautiful, classic, and elegant. It contains 10 stamps. The bottom bars measure 4 ¾ inches by ½ inch, and the circles are 1 ¼ inch diameter. This set also retails for $11.99. The images are full of flowers and flourishes. The circles contain the words “thankful” and “family.” This set really has a “Victorian” feel to it! I used it to create a thank you card.

As you can probably tell, I love these stamps. I have already been to the site to check out what other stamp sets they have available and which ones I just have to have! These stamps are great for both the beginner and advanced stampers and scrapbookers. I love the fact that they come with EZ mount already. You do have to convert them into your own storage but that isn’t a major deal at all. I love that these stamps also come with color index cards. That fact alone gets your brain thinking creatively and makes you want to get the stamps out and start creating. The prices are also very economical. I HIGHLY recommend these stamps. You will want to check out their website for even more great stamps!

For this stamping review of Green Grass Stamps, I received two sets of unmounted stamps, Holy Tomoli 1 and 2. Along with the stamp sheet came a perfectly sized piece of EZ Mount by Sunday International.
The two Tomoli’s began as rectangular pieces of red rubber with a number of fun and funky images — about 20 per sheet. The images ranged in size from ¼" to 2" on the sheet that measured nearly 4" x 6". I began by following Andrea’s directions and mounted the stamps on to Sunday International’s EZ Mount. You can find her hints: EZ Mount Tips . This can feel tedious at times but the result is wonderful. It was so helpful that Green Grass includes the right size EZ Mount when ordering a package.
Green Grass manufactures their stamps with ramped edges (my made up words). Instead of having nearly straight sides coming off the flat part of the image, these are gently curved. I was a bit nervous about this, since I tend to be a heavy stamper. My first project combined several of the sweet images to create a page about my daughter’s May Day celebration. I felt the images made nice clean impressions.

May Day
Supplies:
Holy Tomoli Stamp sets 1 and 2 (Green Grass Stamps)
EZ Mount (Sunday International)
Prismatics Frosted Orange, Frosted Pink, Frosted Cobalt and Frosted Kiwi
cardstocks (Prism)
Corner rounder punch (EK Success)
My Acrylix block (Close to My Heart)
Tattered Rose and Distressed Wood Distress inks (Ranger)
Colorbox Moss Green pigment ink (Clearsnap)
VersaColor Pink pigment ink (Tsukineko)
Pens (Sharpie)
12" guillotine cutter (Tonic)
Brads (JoAnn’s)
Letter stickers (Doodlebug)
Permanent glue runner (Adhesive Tech)
Next, I created a School Days accordion album for a friend’s birthday. I used some of the silly, child-like images to decorate the inner pages and the cover.

Prismatics Perfect Baby Pink, Frosted Cobalt, Frosted Yellow, Frosted Orange
and Frosted Kiwi cardstocks (Prism)
Holy Tomoli Stamp sets 1 & 2 (Green Grass Stamps)
EZ Mount (Sunday International)
My Acrylix block (Close to My Heart)
Project Pro High Temp Glue Gun (Ad Tech)
Encore! Metallic inks in Honeydew, Teal and Pink (Tsukineko)
Fiber and stars
I did have some trouble with the edges showing thick when I stamped them, especially with the smallest stamps.
Finally, I created a birthday bookmark to see if I could make the row of cupcakes consistent. I found that if I inked generously, stamped lightly and did not rock the stamp, I came up with the best image from the stamp.

Supplies:
Cupcake Stamp (Green Grass Stamps)
Raspberry ink (Tsukineko)
Prismatics Papaya Puree Dark and Candle Glow Dark (Prism)
Pens (Sharpie)
Ribbon
Permanent Glue Runner (Ad Tech)
Conclusion: I really enjoyed working with these. The designs are full of fun and are like nothing I’ve seen before. I can see them all put together on a calendar sheet…what a blast. It did require a bit of practice deciding how much pressure to use when impressing with each stamp, but the results are too fun to miss out on. Check out online or your local scrapbook store to find some for yourself. Recommended.
Review by Chris
I began stamping about 2 years ago and I had been using primarily wood-mounted stamps. Almost all of my stamping was on cards and altered projects. It has only been within the past few months that I have become a little more adventurous in the type of stamps I use, the techniques I use while stamping and in using stamps on my scrapbook layouts. Since I have been trying to expand my stamping horizons, I looked forward to receiving my Green Grass unmounted rubber stamps.
I received one sheet of red rubber alphabet stamps in the font “American Typewriter,” as well as an accompanying sheet of EZ Mount. The stamp set is lower case and includes all the letters, numbers and punctuation that one would expect to find on an old fashioned typewriter. The sheet also has a few bonus characters, including 2 sizes of brackets and parentheses, a small word “Love,” and three different flowers. A perfect combination!
To prepare the stamps for use, I applied the EZ Mount sheet to the back of the rubber and got out my Kai scissors to separate the individual elements. The rubber is nice and thick which will let these stamps stand up to long-term use. However, I did find the letters a little too close together for easy cutting. Because the rubber is so thick and I had the added thickness of the EZ Mount to cut through, I did have a little trouble getting around some of the tight curves and corners. I would have liked a little more “wiggle room.” Otherwise, everything went well. Once I had all the elements cut out and applied to my storage sheet, I was ready to stamp.
On this layout, I wanted a title with impact and a little whimsy, since I was using alternative fall colors and I had printed my photo on a transparency. I stamped the letters, one at a time, using Ranger Distress Ink and then embossed each one with Ranger distress embossing powder. I love the texture of crumpled leaves that this lent to my title. The little “Love” stamp and the flower with bracket gave the title the whimsy I was looking for. These stamps were super easy to use and even though they are lower case, they are large enough to be effective as a page title. The EZ Mount sticks right to the acrylic block, making stamping a breeze.

I’m in the Halloween spirit so I decided to make a fairly simple Halloween card. Since I had this paper with ghosts, I decided to stamp {boo} for a title. As you can see, this stamp set is a perfect size to use in card-making!

The quality of the rubber on the Green Grass stamps is very good. This font is crisp and a nice size for scrapbook pages and cards. The extra characters included with the alphas and numbers are a nice bonus. I certainly would enjoy adding additional stamp sets from this company to my stamp inventory.
