Flair Designs has a fantastic way of creating collections that coordinate and match so well, that great looking layouts come together quickly. The Year 'Round Collection is one that will surely satisfy any scrapper's need for paper and stickers in the monthly themes. There are 12 different patterned papers for each month, a page of journaling boxes (1 per month), a pattern incorporating all 12 months in one and 2 extra patterns of calendar blanks. All are 12" x 12" in size and made from medium weight paper. The well-known "FlipIt w/ Flair" feature is printed on the back of the papers, showing a tremendous variety of ideas for this collection. I love that Flair has thought of all different kinds of uses for the different papers in the series along with layout and card samples. Bravo Flair!

Each month has a complementary cardstock sticker sheet with oodles of options! There are days of the week, seasonal and holiday designs ALL color coordinated to the patterned paper. A number sheet for the calendar grid papers adds to the cardstock sticker choices along with a generic sheet of occasions like "birthday", also great for the calendar sheets. The stickers are all high quality. They are easily removed from the sheet with no rough edges or webs between the rest of the designs. The stickers can be placed on a page and removed to put in a different position as long as it is done soon after the original placement.

I love completing a page or two every month showing a collage of pictures. This collection was perfect for documenting September! The collaged nature of the design on the paper worked in conjunction with the solid color cardstock so that images were visible here and there peeking out from behind the photos. The small calendar grid served as the main element on the left side, showing what happened during the month by day. The colors are so rich and vibrant, all very descriptive of the seasonal time of year.

The next layout shows a different use of the week day stickers away from the typical calendar use. The purple from the October Days paper was pulled out by the solid colored base cardstock, adding a softer touch to the page. The fiber and felt embellishments add to the seasonal tones of the casual photo. Initially the patterned paper was a little difficult to work with because the collage words are on the outside edges of the paper. As the right and top edges were trimmed off and integrated into the page, I felt there was no inconsistency in the pattern as I originally thought there might be.

I really enjoyed using the Year 'Round Collection and look forward to the rest of the year to use it! Flair has captured the essence in color and seasonality for each month. Including the supplemental calendar grid and full month patterns, Flair has covered all the bases. Don't be afraid to cut the patterned paper, it will still look terrific in sections! Thanks for another winning collection Flair!

Flair Designs' Year 'Round Collection features a patterned paper and cardstock sticker module for each month of the year. These super-fun papers have appropriate colors and words printed on them for the month they represent, and the sticker modules continue the theme with both words and images. Calendar blanks are available in 6 x 6 AND 12 x 12 plus there a few other coordinating papers and sticker modules. Wow! So many choices!

I love the ease in which one can create actual calendars for ourselves or for gifts, but it doesn't stop there. The 6 x 6 calendar blank also gives us the opportunity to place a mini calendar right on the scrapbooking page. September was a crazy month for me with back to school events and my first full month as a personal trainer doing pre-season assessments and programs for athletes. While I'm not sure I will EVER forget the rushed schedule, I welcomed the opportunity to write down my appointments, include photos of the equipment used in the assessments, and record it all on the layout below. Flair included plenty of numbers to customize the calendar blanks on their "Take a Number" sticker module.

The monthly themed papers are also great for scrapping ANY activity that happens within that month, as I did in this August layout. Feel free to turn the paper in any direction to take advantage of the words you want to highlight. There really isn't a "right" way. I used stamping and marker ink on this layout, and the paper took both well.

I found this collection to be very versatile in both scrapping topic suitablity and in project options. Be sure to order the entire collection! You'll be using it time and time again, all year round!

Flair Designs has added monthly-themed calendar papers to their outstanding line of themed paper collections. In their new Year 'Round Collection, each month’s paper is a beautifully designed blend of a seasonally appropriate color palette featuring the name of the month and several holiday or season words in a variety of fonts and colors. The words are displayed around the outside edges of the paper and the center is filled with subtle imagery. The overall design is a distressed look with translucent images. Accompaying each monthly paper is a sheet of cardstock stickers with words and shapes to enhance the layout or project. The paper collection also includes a sheet of embellished journaling blocks, two different blank calendar pages, and a sheet of stripes with each month’s name.

I received the papers for the first six months of the year along with the corresponding cardstock stickers, a sheet of journaling notes and two different blank calendar pages. The first thing I noticed about this paper which sets it off from other “calendar” papers on the market is that in addition to the month, each paper includes descriptive words about the month and the major holidays. These words are along the outside edges of the papers, leaving the center of the paper for the image design. The layout of the paper allows the user to select which words they want to feature on their layout and orient the page or the photos so that those words are displayed. I love the subtle images and the distressed look to the design.

I have some very special photos taken on Mother’s Day of this year and chose to use the May Days paper as my background. I altered my photos to a sepia color using a photo editing program. I left the “Mother’s Day” words on the patterned paper exposed to act as the title for this layout. This was my grandmother’s last Mother’s Day and since pink was her favorite color, this page will always be special to me. The small calendar template fit perfectly with my brown photos and cardstock stickers highlight this particular day. I love the matching “Journaling Notes” paper, which provides a perfect spot for journaling about this special day.

Products used: Patterned paper (Flair, Year ‘Round Collection, May Days, Year ‘Round Notes, Year ‘Round stripe, 6 x 6 Calendar Blanks)
Stickers (Flair, Year ‘Round Collection, May Days)
Cardstock (Prism, Prismatics, White, Intense Pink)
Dymo labeler
Chipboard (Fancy Pants, Biggest Board)
Glitter (Art Institute)
Hearts, cut freehand from Prism cardstock
Flower (Michaels)
Adhesive (Adhesive Tech, Permanent Tape Runner)

I don’t often get good photos of my son and his dad, but on Mother’s Day everyone cooperated. Although these are not technically Father’s Day photos, the June paper coordinated perfectly with them. I used one edge of the June Days paper for the heading on the 12 x 12 blank calendar paper. Some stickers from the June Days cardstock sticker sheet and a journaling block from the Journaling Notes paper finished off the page.

Adhesive (Adhesive Tech, Permanent Tape Runner)

Flair’s Year 'Round Collection offers a new take on the traditional calendar papers. The word art around the edges and the distressed imagery come together to create a striking and versatile paper for use in calendars, holiday layouts and projects, and layouts about seasonal events and activities.

I am a busy mom and my calendar is filled with deadlines, work schedules, games and the occasional "fun day!" So the idea of creating a calendar with scrapbooking supplies has always intrigued me but with all the work involved, I have never completed one. With the Flair Designs Year 'Round Collection, I was able to get a head start on my 2008 calendars!

For the Flair Designs review I received:

All of the cardstock stickers are on a 9" x 5" sheet. For each month there is a large sticker with the name of the month, days of the weeks, holidays, brackets, arrows and some embellishment stickers. The numbers are brown numbers that look like they are on a wood background. The Good Times sheet has over 100 stickers which include "shopping", "birthday", and "dinner." The papers are all 12" x 12" and the colors of the monthly papers coordinate with the stickers. The Year 'Round Notes paper has 12 journaling blocks with lines and a title.

This January calendar page was together in less than five minutes! The month, days of the week, holidays and numbers are all cardstock stickers. I like to take photos on an almost daily basis so my plan is to print out the photos and paste them on the corresponding date so that this becomes a scrapbook page on its own. Unfortunately, after completing one page with the Take a Number stickers I ran out of 1's so if I want to create a page for each month I would need to purchase a few more of these sheets but I would end up with many extras of some numbers and none of others.

For my February page I decided to scrap a couple Valentine's Day photos. I like that the color for February was not the usual pink or red. Also, since the February wording was around the edges I could turn the page and choose which edge I wanted for the top. The paper in this collection is the weight of regular patterned paper so I did adhere this page to a sheet of cardstock to make it sturdy.

Pen (Pigma Micron)
Adhesive (Adhesive Tech, Permanent Bond Glue Runner)

Want to have an Easter Party? I made this card using the design of a bird from the April paper. The bunny and the Easter sticker are both from the April sticker sheet but the Party sticker is from the Good Times sticker sheet.

One of the benefits of scrapbooking is personalizing ordinary products. Flair Designs' Year 'Round collection makes it easy to personalize and decorate calendars and planners! I really do like how convenient the Flair Designs products are and I look forward to creating many more monthly calendars and layouts!

Flair Designs specializes in scrapbook products in a wide variety of themes and styles. There papers are acid free and lignin free and printed on high quality papers. Each paper has a section on the back called "FlipIt w/ Flair" that has a project idea for the respective collection. In addition, the lines each have cardstock sticker sheets that coordinate with the different papers.

For this review, I received papers and stickers from the Year 'Round collection. This collection is designed to help the scrapper create beautiful calendar projects. Each patterned paper is geared for use in a particular month. In addition, each month has a respective cardstock sticker sheet. There are also blank calendar pages and other accent papers for the collection. The colors and patterns for each month are representative of the respective month.

For this review, I received one sheet each of July Days, August Days, September Days, October Days, November Days and December Days. I also received one sheet each of the respective cardstock sticker sheets for each month above. In addition, I received one sheet each of the Year 'Round Stripe paper, Year 'Round Notes, the 12 x 12 calendar paper, and the 6 x 6 calendar paper. I also received one package of Take a Number brown cardstock stickers and a package of Good Times Cardstock Stickers. As usual, the papers from Flair are high quality. The patterns and designs are very much representative of the respective months and are elegant in their design.

When I looked at the Year 'Round collection from Flair, I immediately thought of designing a mini planner using the papers and stickers. I used the 6 x 6 calendar blanks for my calendar side and used the portion of the monthly papers that contains the name of the month for the facing page. For the page set shown below, I used a 6 x 6 calendar blank along side with a portion of the August papers to create a double page spread for the month of August. I also used stickers from the August cardstock sticker sheet to decorate my calendar blank. My planner is bound with silver book rings and embellished with ribbons (not shown on photo). I was so impressed with the style and simplicity of this planner that I plan to obtain the rest of the collection to complete the planner.

For my second project, I made a simple but elegant Christmas card from the remaining portion of the December paper after my planner spread was complete. The patterns in the paper are so beautiful that very little embellishment is needed for an elegant Christmas card. For this card, I used a line of bling, cut into portions, to accent the existing Star of David depicted on the papers. All that is needed to complete the card is a simple sentiment for the inside card.

The Flair Year 'Round collection is a versatile collection of papers and stickers. It can be used for many things including calendar pages and planners. It is also very useful for pages involving activities of the various months and even for cards that relate to the given month. If you are planning projects that involve the various months, Flair Design's Year 'Round collection is the one to try.
