I've come to expect excellent quality and great versatility from Flair Designs, and their "True Love" collection was in keeping with this expectation. There are fourteen different patterned papers in this collection. They are romantic-themed papers such as roses, Wedding March, anniversary (for the 25th silver and the 50th gold) and wedding words in shades of pinks/reds/greens on black and white variations. Three coordinating 6" x 12" cardstock sticker modules, a vellum quote book, tags, and the red, white, and black velvet ribbon complements the collection very well.

I was happy to have paper at last to inspire me to make progress on scrapping my daughter's wedding. As you will see on this and the other layouts, combining the various papers within this collection is EASY!

Flair has another winner with this "True Love" collection. I highly recommend this collection for weddings, Valentine's Day and many other formal-type or elegant layout themes.

I was so excited when I received the True Love Collection from Flair Designs Inc. I have always been a huge fan of Flair products. I am also a huge fan of collections. I love that the hard work of matching and coordinating is already done for me. The True Love Collection from Flair Designs included 3 packages of velvet ribbon in Jet Black, True Red and Plain Vanilla, a module of cardstock stickers, a module of alphabet stickers, a module of border stickers, a bag of tags, fourteen different patterns of patterned paper, and a book of vellum quotes.

One of the added bonus’ to the Flair products is called “FlipIt with Flair.” There is no need to buy a separate idea book to use the Flair products. On the back of most of their products are great ideas for layouts, cards and tags. You can also see what other products are available within that collection so you can expand your scrapbooking supplies quite easily.

We received 14 different patterns of patterned paper from Flair Designs. This patterned paper is a great quality of paper and is made of a heavier weight of paper. It is very easy to tear and ink. This paper can stand up to just about anything you can throw at it. The patterned paper coordinates perfectly with all the other products in the Collection. All of these papers retail for approximately 60 cents a sheet. These patterned papers include anything you could want for your wedding layouts, sweetheart papers, and anniversaries. The papers are beautiful and gorgeous and range in colors from gold, silver, pinks, whites, and reds. The patterns include roses and rose petals, fun words and sayings, music, and ribbons and pearls. The pattern papers range from the elegant to the whimsical. All of these very different patterns include unique designs and great features. You have everything from faux rickrack to linen textured papers. I love the fact that collections make it so easy to mix and match your pattern paper. On the following layout, I used two different sheets of patterned paper to make a layout celebrating my brother’s wedding.

The “Love & Marriage” Cardstock stickers are also a great quality and are very easy to use. I was able to stick them down and pick them back up without tearing the paper underneath and was able to re-use them. They are both acid-free and lignin-free. These stickers are so fun to use because they incorporate faux stitching, ribbon, buttons, brads, and even great linen texture to some of the stickers. The stickers include your choice of 23 different stickers. There is a great variety and includes something for everyone. These stickers also coordinate perfectly with the whole True Love Collection. These stickers retail for approximately $3.00. The border stickers are also made of cardstock and are made of the same quality cardstock and materials as the “Love & Marriage” stickers. There are 4 sets of borders and range in color from red to green to pink. You can use them for borders or frames. These border stickers retail online for approximately $3.25.

The “True Love” Alphabet stickers are the same high quality as the cardstock stickers. These also retail for approximately $3.00. They are also acid-free and lignin-free. The alphabet stickers also include faux stitching, beading, metal tags, brads, jewels, and stamping. It is very much like having the 3-d effects without all the bulk! The alphabet stickers include at least 3 of most of the more used letters of the alphabet. You are able to make many titles from just one sheet of alphabet stickers. They are also very easy to peel off and re-use if necessary.

I enjoy using quotes on my scrapbook pages so the “Love” vellum quote book was one of my favorites. It retails for approximately $6.25 and includes 28 different vellum quotes. It measures approximately 4 x 4 inches. It is also acid-free and lignin-free. It has so many great love quotes perfect for your wedding layouts, Valentine’s Day cards or layouts, and Love layouts or cards. These vellum quote books come in 8 different themes including Over the Hill, Sports, Scriptures, Love, Friendships, Girls, Boys, and Life Lessons.

A new item included in the “True Love Collection” is the Bag of Tags. It is just that a bag of lots of different styles and colors of tags. These tags perfectly coordinate with the patterned papers and colors of this collection. These are not just your every day normal tags though because they are double-sided. You really get your money’s worth out of them. You are sure to find the design you need in this bag of tags. These tags retail for approximately $3.00 online.

My favorite product has not changed since the last Flair review. I still drool over the Velvet ribbon. This time I was spoiled with 3 different colors of ribbon. It is absolutely scrumptiously yummy!! It is only available in ¼” width and is about 40 inches long. It is available in 10 different colors. It retails for approximately $2.29. Those ten colors include Cinnamon, True Blue, Plain Vanilla, Jet Black, Pink Punch, Bubblegum, True Red, Royal Purple, Moss and Aqua. You will find that this velvet ribbon goes fast because you just keep reaching for it over and over. It could easily become of those items that I hoard because I hate running out of it. I would love to see more widths become available in this velvet ribbon. This velvet ribbon adds such elegance and beauty and it is so easy to use. This is one item that I could easily become addicted to quite easily! Oh, who am I kidding? I am already addicted to it! I need a twelve step program already!

The True Love Collection by Flair Designs is so gorgeous that you will definitely fall in love with it immediately. The assortment of 14 patterned papers are a mix of real life flowers, a music page and worded papers. All fourteen papers are coordinated and work with other items in the True Love Collection (Cardstock Stickers; Alphabet Stickers; Sticker Strips; Tags; Velvet Ribbons and Vellum Quotes). This collection makes scrapbooking, cardmaking and paper crafting so easy. The quality of the images, paper and stickers is excellent.

Flair Designs lists the whole True Love Collection on the back side of the patterned paper. There is an idea section with illustrations showing possible uses of the paper. The Vellum Quotes-(Love) Book contains 28 quotes ready to use for page toppers, cards and more. The Bag of Tags contains 21 tags with reversible designs. The velvet ribbons are very rich and tie perfectly.

My first project is an Altered CD Case. I used three of the coordinates from the True Love Collection patterned paper set; the True Love Collection Alphabet and Sticker Strips. The altered CD cover could be for an anniversary, birth, Valentine's Day or Wedding CD gift.

The card below has a favorite quote of mine. I love the Flair Vellum Quotes for making cards. The edge of the card is decorated with a True Love Sticker Strip. It looks just like printed twill but is actually a sticker. I think the vellum and the pretty soft pink paper look very elegant.

Flair Designs definitely has a winner with the True Love Collection. I give this collection my highest recommendation because it is so elegant and versatile. The colors and designs are so beautiful. Flair Designs: True Love Collection

How do I love thee oh True Love Collection from Flair Designs? Let me count the ways! Is it the wonderful selection of fourteen patterned papers? The three different colors of velvet ribbon? The book of vellum quotes and coordinating reversible tags? Or the beautiful coordinating cardstock stickers and alphabet?

Okay, enough poetic inspiration, but really, what is not to love about the True Love Collection from Flair Designs? While geared toward romantic love and weddings, this collection is capable of going beyond that and allows you to create layouts and projects on the wider scope of “Love” or forego the theme altogether. I love versatility in my products and Flair Designs definitely delivers that.

Following are a few projects I created using the True Love Collection from Flair Designs. Because I wanted to step out of the box a bit, I did not create layouts that focused on romantic love.

My first layout is simple, but I love it. The Pink Rose Petal patterned paper is so soft looking and beautiful. I did not matte my photo because I liked how it looked as though my children were “floating” on a blanket of rose petals. I chose a less specific love quote rather than journaling and then accented the photo with a Reversible Cardstock Tag on a metal rimmed tag.

My next layout uses the Red Roses and Candlelight Ribbon Stripe patterned papers and a Reversible Cardstock Tag. I used a photo of my daughter and journaled about how angelic she looked. The paper was perfect for this photo: the Red Roses paper coordinates perfectly with my daughter’s dress and the Candlelight Ribbon Stripe paper adds a perfect contrast as well as a touch of femininity.

My third project is a card made for any occasion, whether to give at a wedding, or to give to that special someone. I used the complimenting Love in Bloom and Love in Bloom Black papers. The button at the top of the tag is actually a sticker from the Alphabet Sticker sheet. The quote is from the Love Vellum Quote Book.

I really love this collection (no pun intended). My favorite papers were the close ups of the roses and the petals and this actually surprised me since I am not normally drawn to this type of patterned paper. However, the photos are so well done and the look is so soft and even romantic, I couldn’t resist using them. So kudos to the True Love Collection for getting me to use papers I normally would not!

The collection as a whole is awesome. So whether you want to create cards and layouts for anniversaries (there are patterned papers designed specifically for the 25th and 50th wedding anniversary), weddings, romance, or just simply beautiful projects, I would most definitely recommend the True Love Collection by Flair Designs.

I started mooning over Flair's True Love Collection before I'd even properly opened the packaging. Inside I found fourteen unique patterned 12"x12" papers (three of which are stunningly photo-real), lush velvet ribbons, and three sets of cardstock stickers including a collage alphabet. I even found a book of vellum quotes to help put down just the right sentiments, whether touching or funny ("I love you. And it's getting worse.") Featuring elegant black-tie, passionate reds and flirty pinks, this collection contains everything you need for a single coordinated project or a number of coordinating individual layouts.

I loved the ease with which I was able to put together a gift book for a dear friend who recently became engaged to the love of her life. I had been agonizing over the perfect gift, until I found this collection! "Red Roses" paper, cardstock stickers, and velvet ribbon make the cover look like a box of valentine chocolates!

The Vellum Quotes book, with sheets measuring a generous 4"x8", contains 28 Vellum Quotes printed in a variety of attractive typefaces. The sentiments vary from funny to tender to tear-jerkingly true, and can be used as easily on cards as layouts. The vellum is a nice medium weight, so that patterns or colors will be somewhat visible through the quote, but not enough will show through to mar reading of the text. Anyone who's spent hours looking for just the 'write' words for their special journaling won't find the $6.00 price tag outrageous after seeing the gems inside.

Heavyweight cardstock stickers sell on full 8.5"x12" sheets for about $3.50. I had no trouble repositioning them as I worked, but the glue becomes a permanent bond as the sticker is left in place. The variety of letter styles in the round alphabet lends itself well to collage styles, and coordinates easily with the rest of the collection.

Although I love the vibrant colors and designs of Flair's coordinating collections, one of my favorite features will never be visible on any of my pages. "FlipIt with Flair" refers to a collection guide and samples sheet printed on the back of each 12"x12" sheet, and also on the back of the cardstock sticker sheets. Each sheet contains a small, black and white, thumbnail-sized image of every paper in the collection, which lets you not only know which ones you might be missing, but also lets you call your shop and ask for a particular paper by name, once you've run out of it. Accessories in the collection are listed (which is how I know there's even more to this collection than I was sent!), and a different set of samples (layout, card and tag) is shown as well. A feature I noticed on the True Love Collection FlipIts that I haven't noticed before is a list of ideas of "occasions to consider for this collection" besides the obvious wedding, anniversary and romance themes. A favorite idea I wouldn't have imagined offhand: date night! Though this feature would be inconvenient for someone hoping to use the paper for a paper-folding technique that required making the back of a sheet part of the design, I feel that I benefit a lot from the information included on each FlipIt ad.

Paper designs feature some specific event designs, such as 'wedding march' musical score paper, and 'words' sheets for wedding, love & marriage, and silver and gold anniversaries. Floral photo designs include red and fair roses, as well as pink rose petals, which can enhance a broad array of page themes. Pretty drawn-designs, light and dark 'ribbon stripe' sheets that can be used as is or trimmed for quick borders or paper ribbons, round out the collection.
