Flair has taken a little different approach this year to their Holiday Collection. Instead of adding to an existing one or creating a new one, they've gone ahead and designed 2 new Collections! Welcome to the Holly Jolly and Rejoice Collections! Each has five 12" x 12" patterned papers and 2 matching cardstock sticker sheets. As the names are different, they distinguish the "style" of the collection. Holly Jolly has bright shades of red and green with fun, whimsical patterns. Rejoice has deeper tones of red, green and gold mixed with images of angels, ornate stars and Bethlehem. Both are equally beautiful and perfect for holiday or winter projects.
The papers are single-sided and medium in weight. They are strong enough to work as a foundation for a page and take tearing, sanding and stamping just fine. The famous "FlipIt w/ Flair" shows wonderful projects using that specific patterned paper, on the back of the sheet for instant inspiration. Also shown on the back are the coordinating products for that collection.
Both collections have 2 coordinating 5 1/2" x 9" Cardstock Stickers sheets each. For Holly Jolly, one sheet is all different sized gift packages with bows and the other has various mini tags, small titles, brackets and corners. For Rejoice, one sheet has multiple styles of stars in colors to match the paper. The 2nd sheet is similar to Holly Jolly's 2nd sheet containing tags, arrows and corners.
Another characteristic for these collections is that they are both moderately distressed in the patterns. The first project I wanted to show using the Holly Jolly Collection with worked perfectly with Kraft paper. It gave the old pictures a nice aged touch without being too obtrusive. The stamping and embossing complimented the paper by including some of the designs, like holly leaves, on the background. The package die cuts in the lower left corner added the final touch since they were cut from the same patterned paper. Nothing like complete coordination!

I can always trust that Flair has great products to work with when coming into the holiday season and this year was no exception. I enjoyed the variety of the 2 collections, offering a nice alternative between whimsical and traditional. The colors were right on and patterns easy to use as a whole sheet or pieced on a smaller project. Thanks Flair, great job!

Flair has 2 new holiday collections that will have you creating cards, gifts and scrapping your memories in a big hurry. They are called Holly Jolly and Rejoice Collections. These inspiring collections have ten different pattened papers and four coordinating 5.5" x 9" cardstock stickers. The appropriate names of the papers describe what you'll find:
- O'Christmas Tree
- Let It Snow
- Holly Jolly Stripe
- Here Comes Santa Claus
- Peppermint Stick
- The Nativity
- Rejoice Words
- Star Bright
- Angels Sing
- Spirit of Christmas
- Holiday Gifts
- Holly Jolly
- Rejoice
- Star Bright
One thing I really appreciated about these collections were the mixture of religious and secular themes. Our family is helping with a live nativity in December, and I can't wait to use "The Nativity" paper and "Rejoice" stickers with photos of the event! But, if your theme is more lighthearted, such as a child's visit to Santa, they have that covered too!
I jumped at the chance to use "Holly Jolly" with a favorite old photo from the 1980's that has been sitting around waiting for a long, long time. The papers were easy to mix and match, as were the stickers.

Flair has introduced two new holiday lines to its scrapbooking family. They are Holly Jolly and Rejoice. Each collection includes five different patterned papers and two sheets of coordinating cardstock stickers. Holly Jolly features the non-denominational traditional images: Christmas trees, snowflakes, Santa and two different stripes. The stickers include a full sheet of gaily wrapped presents and another with titles and other elements to adorn your pages and projects. Rejoice has the more traditional religious focus, with images of sheet music, the nativity, stars and a sheet of words. The Rejoice cardstock stickers include a sheet of stars as well as a sheet of titles and other elements. The color palettes of both collections are a distressed red, green and cream with brown accents. Because the color palettes are the same, the collections can be used interchangeably.
The faded colors and distressed look of this collection worked perfectly with this old photo I recently discovered of my mother’s family seated around the Christmas dinner table. The different designs of the patterned papers work extremely well together as you can see here, where I have used 4 of the 5 papers from the Holly Jolly collection.
The Dale Family
Products used: Patterned paper (Flair, Holly Jolly Christmas, O’Christmas
Tree, Let It Snow, Holly Jolly Stripe, Peppermint Stick)
Cardstock (Prism, Metallics, Desire; Prismatics, Herbal Garden Medium)
Star Die (Spellbinders, Reflections, Star, embossed)
Metal (Ten Seconds Studio, Art Metal)
Die cut letters (QuicKutz, Marissa, uppercase)
Index tab die (QuicKutz)
Family word (Heidi Swapp, Silhouette words)
Journaling paper (Making Memories, Ledger Paper)
Adhesive (Adhesive Tech, Permanent Tape Runner)
I really hate to throw anything away and so I try to re-use and re-purpose things as much as I can. I used the plastic clamshell packaging from a Spellbinders die to create a fun, unique Christmas card. Using the cardboard insert as a template, I created the inside of my card with cardstock and some Flair paper and stickers.

'Tis the season to be jolly . . . Holly Jolly that is! Flair Designs' just released Holly Jolly collection is full of Christmas spirit. This collection is made up of a soothing green, red and cream color palette. It's a little shabby, a little vintage and a little graphic all mixed together.
There are five different patterns to choose from. The first, "Let It Snow," features white snowflakes on a red distressed background. The "O' Christmas Tree" pattern brings green into the mix with little green Christmas trees accented with red garland and stars on a worn looking soft holly-patterned background. "Here Comes Santa Claus" has adorable red Santas over a cream star-speckled background. "Peppermint Stick" combines the three main colors into a diagonal stripe pattern. The edges of this page are worn nearly white . . . a very cool "snowy" effect. The last paper, "Holly Jolly Stripe," is to me the most prominent pattern of this collection. It has a strong vertical stripe pattern made up of alternating holly leaves, snowflakes, stars and candy cane stripes. This pattern could be easily cut down to make border strips if you wish. The edges here have a slightly aged brown tint to them.
There are two cardstock sticker packs available - Holly Jolly with matching Santa images and phrases such as "naughty," "nice," "cookies" and "Merry Christmas" on tags of various shapes and sizes. There are brackets, frames, photo corners and photo turns as well. The second pack is called Holiday Gifts and features presents in all shapes and sizes in perfectly coordinated patterns. There are 15 present stickers on the sheet.
Also part of my review was Flair's new Rejoice collection. This collection also has five sheets of patterned paper and two cardstock sticker sheets.
In general, this collection has a softer feel to it. "The Nativity" paper shows a very soft depiction of the events surrounding the birth of Baby Jesus. It also has a portion of the written account that fades subtly into the background. The dominant colors are cream and pale blue. "Angels Sing" is very similar with gold colored images, words and sheet music all overlaying a cream background. "Star Bright" brings a little red into the mix. It has red and gold colored five and six pointed stars in all shapes and sizes overtop of a cream background and has a light brown aging along the edges. "Rejoice Words" is mainly red with words such as "Joy," "Rejoice," "Peace" and "Love" in yellow, cream and dark red spread throughout in different fonts and sizes. Lastly, "Spirit of Christmas" is primarily green overlaid with a gorgeous gold filigree pattern. It's edges are also lightly aged.
The cardstock sticker packs, Rejoice and Star Bright mimic the Holly Jolly collection in their sticker styles but with different colors, images and words better suited here. Star Bright has five and six pointed stars in reds, greens and golds in all shapes and sizes. It's quite a yummy sight with over 20 star images to choose from.
Although these are two separate collections they work wonderfully together as you will see in my projects.
This project features the Peppermint Stick patterned paper and Holly Jolly sticker sheet from the Holly Jolly collection and the Rejoice sticker sheet from the Rejoice collection.

Both of these collections suit my style. They are not too bright and not too cutesy. You can leave them as is or age them further as I did on my paper covered chipboard tree above and it still looks very festive and beautiful. Mix or match, leave as is or distress it as you see fit. These are just all around great collections that can be used with a large variety of photos and themes and would also be great for altered items or Christmas cards.

Are you looking for a Holiday paper line that will inspire you to scrap all of those Christmas photos? Then look no further! The New Holly Jolly and Rejoice collections by Flair will put you in the right mood to scrap all of your favorite holiday photos!
When I first saw the Holly Jolly collection I immediately starting thinking about twinkling lights, caroling, mistletoe, and the hustle and bustle of holiday shoppers; I even started singing "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas"! The Holly Jolly collection comes with 5 - 12" x 12" papers and 2 sheets of cardstock stickers all of which are very appropriately named:
- Here Comes Santa Claus;
- O' Christmas Tree;
- Holly Jolly Stripe;
- Let It Snow;
- Peppermint Stick
- Holiday Gifts and Holly Jolly cardstock stickers
If you are looking for something more subtle that reflects the real meaning of Christmas then you will want to check out the Rejoice Collection. With 5 - 12" x 12" papers and 2 sheets of 9 x 5 ˝-inch cardstock stickers to choose from, you will feel the warmth of that first Christmas morning. This collection speaks of the true meaning of Christmas with its beautifully designed papers entitled:
- The Nativity;
- Rejoice Words;
- Star Bright;
- Angels Sing;
- Spirit of Christmas
- Rejoice and Star Bright cardstock stickers sheet
As I began working on my first project I chose to use the Holly Jolly collection. It seemed to be the most appropriate for the pictures I was working with. I used the "Here Comes Santa Claus" paper for the background and then placed some tissues under the paper before sewing it down to give a "puffy" look to the page. Next, I layered "O' Christmas Tree" and "Holly Jolly Stripe" vertically on the background paper. The "Holly Jolly Stripe" paper was perfect to cover my chipboard piece and I mounted my photo on "Let It Snow". I then made a border using the presents from the Holiday Gifts cardstock sticker sheet and used a star sticker from the Star Bright cardstock sticker sheet for an accent on the chipboard heart. Finally, I added some silver glitter glue to the trees and the chipboard accent and placed the tag from the Holly Jolly cardstock sticker sheet in the bottom right corner of the photo.

Each year I get pictures of the Nativity that we display in our home. The "Angels Sing" paper was just the right background to start a page for this years' display. I added a strip of the "Spirit of Christmas" to the background paper and used the Star Bright cardstock stickers to create a collage around the bottom right corner of the layout. I added gold glitter swirls and some iridescent glitter to the wings of the angel and to the accents on the star stickers.

I am in charge of the table decorations for our Women's Christmas party at church so I decided to use some of the left over pieces from my previous two projects to create these quick and easy votive candle boats. I cut two pieces of vellum 5 1/2-inches long and 2 1/4-inches high (the height of my votive). Next I stamped and embossed my image, then cut strip of patterned paper 5 1/2-inches x 3/4-inch and adhered it to the bottom of each piece of vellum. Finally, I stapled two strips at each end and placed the votive in the center.
