Review by AndreaFlair's new Seaside Collection calls for those terrific summertime pictures with it's carefree patterns and cheery colors. There is a definite "beach" feel to four of the eight patterns, all with shells, flip-flops and sand in some form. The other four patterns have sailboats, water, foliage and ocean words with blue as a predominant color. Lots of variety here!
The 12" x 12" paper is a medium weight with a pattern on one side and white on the back. Flair now has a tab on the paper's edge with the collection's information instead of the original "Flip-It w/ Flair" printed back. I like the new tab for ease of identifying the paper's name and the non-printed back for design purposes. The patterns all contain the same base or underlying layer of a gentle distressed circular design. It reminds me of whirlpools actually! The main theme for the pattern is then placed on the top layer, like flowers and leaves for the Tropical Garden paper. The colors are worn-looking shades of orange, pink, blue and green. Very soothing indeed!
Two sheets of 5 1/2" x 8" stickers came with the collection also. One sheet contains Cardstock Stickers called "At the Ocean" which aptly describes the words and pictures present on that sheet. There are about 27 different pieces to pick from - nice! The second sheet is called "Seaside Quotes" Clear-Cut Stickers, meaning they are clear with quotes printed on them in black. Each quote varies in font and size giving many options for the designer. Way to go Flair!
One thing that I love about Flair's collections is that Prism Papers match very well. I had no trouble finding coordinating cardstock for my projects. With Flair's untextured patterned paper, stamping is an easy task! The paper takes the ink well and it dries fast with no warping. The two patterned papers used for this page complement each other wonderfully and add just the right amount of color and movement for the page. The Clear-Cut Sticker looks as though it was printed directly on the patterned paper! I love it!

Flair's eye for quality has maintained it's high level with every collection with Seaside being no exception. I really like the paper identification change from the printed back to the printed side tab. The patterns are fresh and fun, giving the designer lots of options for beach, water, summer, vacation and foliage projects. You could really cover a lot of variety with this collection. The Clear-Cut stickers are great accents for pages or cards. The transparent feature to them allows the pattern to be seen unobstructed. Nice job!
I really enjoyed using this collection during this review. It's perfect for all of those summertime memories, especially those around water and the beach. Don't hesitate to add this collection to your stash. You'll find that it has just the right amount of "Flair"!
Review by ChrisWith their new Seaside Collection, the folks at Flair have added yet another winning line to their scrapbooking products. This collection contains 8 different papers and two sets of stickers. In the traditional style of Flair, the paper designs contain multiple layers with muted colors and a distressed appearance. The patterns include elements from the beach and ocean, as well as tropical flowers, flip flops, boats and words - everything you might see in a trip to the seashore. The papers are a nice weight, not flimsy, but also not so heavy that layering multiple designs on your project would cause a problem. The cardstock stickers include word elements as well as photo corners, frames and brackets. The clear-cut stickers, fairly new to Flair, are quotes printed on a clear adhesive sheet.
Since I live only a mile from the Pacific Ocean, I always have beach photos to scrap. These papers were perfect for the photos I took during a recent trip south to Oceanside and the Oceanside Pier. I used the Deep Sea Blues and Seashell Swirl papers layered on top of a piece of Prism's Twilight Medium cardstock. The colors and designs of these two papers brought together the ocean and sand from my photos into a nice cohesive layout. This was my first experience using Flair's new clear stickers and I love them! They are printed in a nice dark black on a totally transparent adhesive sheet and when placed on my patterned paper, the adhesive portion completely disappeared, leaving just the beautiful word art. What a great addition to their product line!

Photos from a recent trip to Venice Beach were next up on my scrapping table. Not only is it a beautiful beach, but there are shops and street vendors which are great fun to watch! For this layout, I chose the Ocean Words and Seaside Stripe papers. With so much of the layout taken up by photos, I thought the word strips would create just the right contrast on the page. On this layout, I used a clear sticker quote on one of my photos and I was totally pleased with the effect. Great product, Flair!!

It is always a pleasure to use Flair's products for my layouts, cards and other paper crafting projects. Their designs are fresh and fun and the papers are always well-coordinated. Their sticker sets are a great enhancement to any project and I especially love the new Clear Quotes. They make it so easy to put beautifully crafted word-art on any project. If you have beach or ocean photos to scrap, you'll definitely want to pick up Flair's new Seaside Collection. I know I'll be needing more!
Review by KarenEach year as summer draws near, I start dreaming of days at the beach. I’m not sure why since we don’t get a chance to go each year, but none the less I start dreaming of the sand and sea. I was so happy to see that this summer Flair Designs released a new beach themed collection called Seaside. Flair Designs has made their mark in the scrapbook community as the go to company for themes. The Seaside collection lives up to that reputation!
In this collection there are eight patterned papers and two different sticker sheets. This is the first collection that I’ve been able to work with where the Flip it is no longer on the back. At first, I was sad to see this addition to their papers go. I loved seeing what their designers came up with, but as I worked with the collection, I began to see why this decision would have been made. Removing the printed Flip it’s allows the paper crafter to use the Flair Designs papers without having to back them with another paper. This is a real benefit to card and tag makers.
The papers in this collection are beautiful. Flair Designs has a knack for mixing small icons within their patterned papers. I love the color pallet of this collection too. It’s considerably more muted than their past summer collections. I love how the papers didn’t seem to overwhelm my photos, and I attribute this to the color pallet. I also got to work with the two different stickers sheets. One is a cardstock sticker and the other is a clear sticker. While the cardstock sticker has been a staple in the Flair product line, the clear sticker is new. The clear stickers contain phrases and quotes that would be perfect for cards as well as layouts. I feel that this is a very nice addition to their product line
For my first project, I used the Deep Sea Blues paper as my background. I love this paper! It has whales and dolphins in a sea of swirling blues. I layered the Seaside Stripe on top of the Deep Sea Blues paper. I love how the stripe is unlike any other stripe paper I’ve seen before. It’s wonderful. I also added the clear sticker that says “you and me by the sea” to a Maya Road sheer. I LOVE how the sticker looks on the sheer. To finish my page, I used the cardstock stickers. These are always a favorite of mine. Flair Designs does a wonderful job of creating stickers that I want to use on every project.

Ric Rack (Doodlebug Desgins)

Adhesive (Adhesive Tech, Permanent Bond Glue Runner)
For my second project I wanted to capture the fun feel that my photo has. I started with Sail Away paper because it had so much movement in it. I layered some of the Ocean Words and Just Add Beach papers over my background. I also used a small strip of the Seaside Stripe paper. But what I really love about this layout is the photo mat that I created. I started with the clear stickers and a blue piece of cardstock. I layered parts of the stickers around the edges of the cardstock. This added depth to my mat. I was worried that the edges of the clear stickers might show as I overlapped pieces, but they don’t. This is a great quality clear sticker. I finished off the layout by adding photo corner stickers from the cardstock sticker sheet.

This collection is simply beautiful. The colors are softer and seem to blend better with my beach photos. I still think that many of the past summer collections by Flair Designs will work with this current Seaside collection. I love the introduction of the clear stickers. I think that these are wonderful and easy to use. I would highly recommend checking out not only the Seaside Collection but anything by Flair Designs.
Review by ReneeWho doesn’t love the sea, the sand and all things beachy? I love the way the sand feels between my toes, and the way the water feels as it laps on my feet when walking. (I hate jellyfish, so I don’t go out very far!) That same feeling I get at the beach is the one I get from the new Seaside collection from Flair designs.
Flair designs is one of the leading manufacturers of Scrapbook products. They feature paper and stickers from many different themes popular with scrapbookers. Their products feature great color combinations, with a mix of graphics and word art. Their stickers are always perfectly coordinated and are of a high quality. The Seaside collection holds true to the quality that scrapbookers come to expect from Flair.
For this review, I received two sheets each of Seaside Swirl, Just add Beach, Seaside Stripe, Seaside Sandals, Tropical Gardens, Sail Away, Deep Sea Blue and Ocean Words. I also received two sticker sheets. One sheet contained cardstock stickers perfectly coordinated for use with the Seaside papers. The other sheet contains clear stickers with beach phrases on it.
For my first project, I created a layout from our recent visit to Pensacola beach. This was a particularly special trip to the beach for us as it was the first time for my niece to visit the Gulf. To create the perfect backdrop for my pictures, I selected a tannish Seaside Swirl paper which contained all the colors of the children’s swim suits within it in very muted colors. I accented it with the bright blue Deep Blue Sea. I also used several of the accent stickers from the cardstock sticker sheet to accent the photos.

For my second project, I created a card and matching envelope set using the papers. I loved the little flip flops on the Seaside Sandals paper, so I cut a pair out and used those as an accent for the card. I wanted a matching envelope for my card, so I used a template and a sheet of “Just Add Beach” paper to make a matching envelope. Even though I elected to use a different patterned paper from that used on the card, the two are perfectly matched in color and coordinate well together.

The Flair Seaside Collection has just the touch of summer to make scrapping those beach pictures a blast. Be sure to give these a try when you have beach pictures to scrap.
Review by StephanieDo you love the beach? Do you love the water? Do you love sand on your feet and a breeze on your face? Well if you enjoy any of the above, you are in for a fun time working with Flair’s new Seaside collection. This collection is a wonderful assortment of papers that covers anything you could do or see at the water’s edge, plus some. Pick up this kit and play with those summer pictures you haven’t yet scrapped.
For this review, I received 2 each of 8 single sided patterned papers. The papers are of medium weight in assorted beach themes. The colors are lovely shades of blues, greens, pinks, and oranges. The papers are very easy to work with and can be mixed and matched quite easily. I also received a set of clear sticker quotes which are perfect for layering over photos as well as a set of beach themed cardstock stickers.
Having just gone to the beach as well as having just attended a party at the beach, I knew these papers would be awesome with my photos. I don’t have the opportunity to do many girlie pages, so I was thrilled to capture photos of my friend’s granddaughter partying at the beach. The floral paper worked really well with the party’s luau theme.

I then scrapped some photos of my son at the beach using other papers in this collection. Die cutting a large "S" and combining it with the cardstock stickers helped set my page’s tone and the title for my layout.
