Elizabeth Harlan
Hello, I’m Elizabeth Shaffer Harlan or Eli as most of my friends call me (It sounds like feline.) I have been scrapbooking most of my life. When I was seven or eight, I remember putting all my birthday cards and certificates into the old fashioned grey craft paper albums. Yikes!
Since I got married in 1997, I have pursued scrapbooking as a passion. One of the experiences that helped my scrapping technique grow tremendously was being a freelance writer for Memory Makers Magazine for three years. I learned a great deal from all the artists whose pages I wrote about. I have been on the ScrapFriends Review Team since May of 2005. I began my Design Team work with Spellbinders Paper Arts, maker of the Wizard, in January of 2006. I am currently the Media Relations Editor for them…which basically means I am their writer and Media liaison.
I have been married to James, an Episcopal Priest (yes, they can get married and are still called priests) since May 1996 and we have a vivacious little girl, Hannah, (born in 1999) with a vibrant personality, sprinkled with a bit of drama. Since we got married, we have lived in Breckenridge, Colorado; Gulfport, Mississippi; and now in Denver. We love our life together and have lots of interesting experiences to scrapbook.
Beyond the scrapbooking world, we are, obviously, very active in our church and have lots of fun with a growing congregation. James and I love to host dinner parties in our house for family and friends. Hannah (first grade) sings in a choir, is learning to read and loves to play with friends. Triscuit, our Himalayan cat, is neurotic, at best, but we love her.
Along with scrapbooking, I love sewing, needlework, dancing, cooking, writing, singing…ah, the list goes on.
I love working with ScrapFriends and love contributing to its pages. I am inspired daily by all that you contribute…this is a unique and wonderful community…you inspire me!!
