Review by AndreaScrapbookers just love to shop and anything related to their hobby is fair game for purchase! I once heard a marketing guru say that you can sell anything to a person who is "rabid" and passionate about their hobby or niche. I firmly believe he is right, especially when it comes to scrapbookers!
Charmed Moments is a company based in Utah that sells their products using consultants scattered across the U.S. The catalog that came with the products is like a magazine - full of great information! The company's invitation is for you to "tell your unique story through the beauty of charms". And wow, do they have charms! There are many ways to display your charms: bracelets, watches, necklaces, pendants, anklets, earrings, rings and even jewelry for children and men. While looking through the catalog, there is a real sense of sharing from the various stories behind the meaning of the charms and from quotes that are sprinkled here and there. I will use some of those quotes in my scrapbooking for sure!
I received the two bracelets we were reviewing in nice cellophane bags tied with ribbon. The jewelry was attached to a thick card for easy viewing through the package. There was even a small plastic bag for bracelet storage when not in use and mini catalog included. The card that the jewelry was on has care instructions on the back - great idea!

I received an 8 inch Lobster clasp sterling silver charm link bracelet with 3 charms: a Photo Book, an open Heart and one spelled FAMILY. All were attached to the charm link bracelet with a double split ring similar to a key ring. I liked that feature since the charm is attached to the bracelet much more securely. I would have liked more adjustability in the length because I have a small wrist. Overall, I was impressed with the quality.

The second bracelet that I received was a Shiny Starter modular bracelet with 18 links where 3 were stainless steel charms: I Love Chocolate, an enameled double heart and I Love Shopping. This bracelet is similar to ones that I've heard referred to as Italian link bracelets. It stretches to go over your hand and is adjustable to your wrist size. You can easily remove and add links yourself. Nice! I was a little apprehensive about wearing the bracelet from hearing friends say that the links pinch and scratch the skin. I didn't have that problem at all! I was pleasantly surprised that the bracelet fit very well on my wrist with no adverse effects to my skin. Obviously those friends have never worn a Charmed Moments product!

I like both bracelets and look forward to adding personalized charms to the modular one. The products are high quality and are easy to customize to your personal interests. I would recommend this company to anyone who enjoys home parties since it's a great way to get together with your friends, especially your scrapbook ones!
Review by MelanieI received two lovely bracelets from Charmed Moments. One sterling silver bracelet with three charms, and one modular bracelet with three modular charms. The bracelets each came individually packaged in a clear zip lock bag along with a mini-catalog. The bracelets were attached to a cardboard packaging with care instructions on the back. The modular bracelet came with three extra links. All of these items were individually packaged in a larger clear bag.
I also received a Charmed Moments 2004 - 2005 catalog. It is 8 ½" x 11" with 96 pages and is full of beautiful jewelry that included bracelets, watches, necklaces, anklets, earrings, rings, charms, modulars and more. It even included a section for kids and men. There is an index in the back for charms which helps you find what you are looking for faster.
The sterling silver charm link bracelet came with three charms: a heart, the word “family”, and a photo album. The bracelet is 7 inches long with a clasp closure and is listed at $10.00. The price for charms range from around $7.50 to $15.00. The bracelets come in size 7 or 8. The product guide says that extensions can be purchased and added to any bracelet, anklet or necklace that has a clasp, but not for those with a toggle closure.
I am quite impressed with the link bracelet and charms. The design on the chain for this particular style is very elegant and feminine. I have enjoyed wearing it and hope to add some charms to it in the future.

Modular bracelets are new to me. The first time I wore it, someone noticed immediately and commented that they are a big hit. My modular bracelet came with three modular charms: I love shopping, I love chocolate, and hearts. The hearts are red with gold edging and sit on top of the link. The “I love chocolate” charm is gold colored with black lettering and a red heart. The shopping charm has black letters on a silver background. The bracelet has 18 links and stretches to fit over my wrist and fits snug, but not tight. It was nice of the company to include 3 extra modules to adjust sizing if necessary. I was curious how to add or remove the links, and found out that they attach quite easily by linking or unlinking the modules. This is a very nice bracelet and I have already made notes of charms I want to add to this modular. The shiny starter bracelet is listed at $5.00. Most of the modular charms range from $4.00 - $8.00.

In summary, I am very impressed with Charm Moments products. The catalog has so a large selection of beautiful charms available that anyone can create a truly unique piece of jewelry. I love the quality of both of the pieces I received and am proud to wear them, and the best part is that they are very affordable. They are wonderful to create personalized gifts for friends and family members. Their catalog is filled with great ideas. Review by Lynn AnneThough reviewing Charmed Moments jewelry sounded like fun from the get-go, I do admit to a little confusion when I first opened my packages and didn’t see any place for photos in the jewelry. The first thing I think of when I think of scrapbooking is photos, and since Scrap Friends is, of course, a scrapbooking site, I wasn’t entirely sure what the connection would be between scrapbooking and these charm bracelets. But a look through the Charmed Moments catalogs reminded me that there’s more to scrapbooking than photos. Scrapbooks exist not only to preserve photographs, but to preserve entire memories. Charmed Moments bracelets are designed and marketed for the same purpose, only in a different, wearable form.
There is one page in the catalog that shows a charm bracelet created as a companion for a scrapbook page. The bracelet’s creators had chosen significant charms from among the thousands available, and created a bracelet to be used as a prompt for telling family stories. Another example featured a bracelet made to commemorate a baby’s young life, each charm representing something special in that child’s particular story. How could these not tug at a true scrapbooker’s heart?
Charmed Moments bracelets come packaged in a tulle drawstring bag with a mini-catalog. The first bracelet I looked at was the 8” sterling silver ‘charm link’ style. The bracelet is a bright silver, with doubled links. Three charms, held on by coiled jump rings, were included. Both the bracelet and the charms are light in weight, so I imagine that even a bracelet filled to the brim with charms wouldn’t fall too heavy on the wearer’s wrist. This bracelet retails for $24.00, reasonable for a silver bracelet in this design.
I did a double-take when I saw the $5.00 asking price for the second bracelet. It’s an eighteen-link stainless steel modular bracelet; a shiny, attractive, solid piece. Three extra links were included with this one. I didn’t think I needed them at first, since the bracelet fit my wrist perfectly with the original number of links. I found that unless I made the bracelet another link wider, however, the bracelet pinched pretty badly as I was putting it on. One charm link provided was a laser cut with ‘I (heart) shopping’ A second charm link had a raised gold colored rectangle with ‘I (heart) Chocolate’ engraved into it. This charm featured black lettering with a red heart, and the entire gold portion of the charm seemed to be covered with a clear, glossy protective coating. I was impressed with how crisp the lettering on both of these charm styles appears to be. The detail that can be fit into such tiny pieces (embellishments, if you will!) is amazing to me. The third charm, however, was my favorite. Two red enameled hearts, gold-rimmed, sit raised from the link. This one also seems to be protected with a glossy coating. Even after perusing the catalogs at leisure, this is one of my favorite charms.
The Charmed Moments bracelets would make a wonderful ‘all about me’ or event-memory project for any scrapbooker who also enjoys wearing (or giving) jewelry. With all of the charms available in both bracelet styles, hundreds of different personalities and events can be captured in one special piece of jewelry, made to be enjoyed by the wearer and shared with others.
Review by CatherineI love jewelry! I don’t know many women who don’t. I especially have a weakness for charm bracelets. I have three charm bracelets in my jewelry box that are all full of charms with different themes. So, when given the opportunity to review Charmed Moments jewelry, I jumped at the chance!
I knew that Charmed Moments is a company that sells jewelry, and that was pretty much all I knew before hearing about them for this review. When I received my package, I realized that Charmed Moments also offers opportunities for home parties and for people to become Independent Consultants and sell their jewelry. Their catalog holds an enormous amount of different charms in every style imaginable, as well as other types of jewelry.
For my review, I received a Sterling Silver Charm Link Bracelet, and a Shiny Starter Modular Bracelet. Each of the bracelets has three charms on it. I particularly loved the charms on the charm bracelet I was sent. There is a very cute “Family” word charm, along with a square charm that says “Photos”, and a very nice open heart charm. After wearing my bracelet for a week, I am happy with the amount of wear on my charms and bracelet; in that there is none. I wore my modular bracelet on the same arm, and often the friction of wearing two bracelets at the same time can cause problems, but I ran into none. I feel that the bracelets and charms I was sent are very well crafted. On my modular bracelet, were three charms already in place. An “I Love Chocolate” charm, one with two hearts on it, and a Laser “I Love Shopping” charm were the three modular charms I received.
As far as cost is concerned, the charms for the dangle charm bracelet run from approximately $7.50 to $14.00, which in my experience is just about what would be expected in buying sterling silver charms. I have never worn modular jewelry before, even though I have seen these bracelets and heard quite a bit of “chatter” about these bracelets on the internet in the past. Therefore, I really don’t have a lot of previous knowledge to draw from when comparing these bracelets to other brands. The price in the catalog for most of the charms listed is $5.00, with the DJ Inkers designer links being $8.00. In doing a small amount of research, I have noticed that there are places on-line where one can find links at a lower price. However, I do not know if the quality of the charms would be the same, not having time to buy others and compare. Also, many people have been able to find these charms in their area, without having to pay for shipping, so that may be an option as well. I believe that the option of home parties and buying through a catalog would actually be a very attractive one for many people. I don’t know that if I had to search through a bin for “just the right charm” I would have the patience. Holding a toddler on my hip, while shopping, has definitely reduced my trips to the mall. I’ve definitely become more of a catalog or quick trip shopper. So, I like the fact that I can choose exactly what I want by flipping through just a few pages of a catalog in my own time, but that is just me.
In summary, I love the bracelets I received. I really love the fact that I can find “scrapbooking” themed charms for my bracelets in the catalog as well. I believe that given the opportunity to order from Charmed Moments, I would definitely do so. There is such a wide variety of charms available for both types of bracelets, as well as other jewelry available to order. I love the fact that Charmed Moments, as a company, seems to view Charm Bracelets as “scrapbooks for the arm” (my own words). The company is geared toward people who want to find charms that link to their life stories. What a great idea! I’ve used my charms to create special memory, but have never bought charms from a company that put the idea of buying charms into the same perspective.
Review by EliWho wouldn’t be excited to try out some fun charm bracelets? I certainly was. I noticed the packaging right off. It looked like something you might purchase in a little boutique. The bracelet hung nicely on a stiff card with the logo on top while the back of the card contains sterling silver care instructions. Behind that, a mini catalog, highlighted a smattering of pieces that are available for purchase through a consultant. These were wrapped nicely in a crisp cellophane bag and tied with a ribbon. Simple and, well, I want to say “charming,” in the best sense of the word.
I first checked out the modular charm bracelet, (some call them Italian charm bracelets) in stainless steel. I have never really been “into” them but since I had one, I put it on and wore it all day. I found it to be very comfortable with a smooth texture all around, and I thought, very pretty. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised and felt that I could really get into collecting other pieces. The charms I received highlighted three different types: laser, with black printing and a flush surface; enamel, with bright, rich color, a raised image; and a short saying, highlighted by a little color and a raised image. Personally, I prefer the raised images and enjoy the color. My only complaint about the bracelet is probably “operator error.” I got pinched several times when I was messing around with it. Sliding it up and down my arm without actually stretching it is a safe bet.
Ever since I was little, I have loved charm bracelets because my mom had one that was absolutely full. I would finger through the charms and marvel at the tiny trinkets, each representing a moment, person or place that carried special meaning. I am pleased to see this trend come back. Charmed Moments’ version is lovely. In sterling silver, the double link chain sits gracefully on my wrist. The silver is bright and shiny. The clasp opens easily and stays secure once closed. I actually gave it a few good tugs with my hands, as if I had caught it on something, and it seemed strong, as well.
Let me just say that what impressed me the most was the Charmed Moments catalog. It took me a long time to leaf through the complete catalog. Full of pages and pages of charms to dangle, link or slide, I can’t imagine that anyone could be left out. The options for bracelets, anklets and necklaces also filled several pages and included delicate to chunky. Both the mini and the complete catalog have a sidebar containing helpful information regarding care and cleaning of bracelets. Overall, it contained way more than I expected.
Conclusion: Charmed Moments has it all. If you are interested in jewelry, charms, watches, etc, there is something for you. I found catalog items in almost every price range from mini charms beginning at $4.50 to chunky beaded bracelets in the $20’s and up to beaded watches for nearly $100. I highly recommend Charmed Moments to anyone. If you are interested in purchasing or hosting a party, visit their website to find a consultant near you.
