Colorizing with the Wizard

The Spellbinders™ Style Embossing & Cutting Die may also be used as a template for colorizing the raised embossed areas. This may be done with a variety of colorants. Simply apply the colorant through the holes on the Spellbinders™ Style Embossing & Cutting Die.

Here are several variations that I tried.
Inks applied with a "dry brush" technique.

Chalk and Metallic Rub-Ons

Paints may also be used. I had a little trouble with this as the brush has to be quite dry. I recommend using a very small amount of paint with a small stipple brush.

I also attempted glitter. At first I tried applying the glue on top of the The Spellbinders™ Style Embossing & Cutting Die and sprinkling the glitter over the whole thing. The problem was that I work too slow. The glue began to dry and pulled off part of the design when I removed the die. Next I applied a thin line of glue to the raised embossed areas without the Spellbinders™ Style Embossing & Cutting Die. This gave better results. As you can tell, I still need lots of work on this technique, but it is promising enough that I plan to try it again!

Have fun and experiment! You'll never have to make-do with a plain die-cut again!
