Turtle Power Chipboard Embellishment

Transform your chipboard circles into a turtle! Thanks to Scout the tortoise for the inspiration!

Supplies Needed:
-
Magistical Memories Nested Circles (use center solid circle)
Chipboard scraps
Gem stickers
Doodlebug Paper Frills
Paint
Ink
Pattern/Sketch provided

1. Cut circle – 1/8” beyond center line – larger portion will be used for turtle shell.

a. paint chipboard to desired color
b. add paper frill for trim along bottom if desired
c. punch holes to add gem brads, or add gem stickers

a. trace pattern with pencil onto scrap chipboard
b. cut out shape and paint
c. tip: paint the same color and distress with brown ink for a “au natural” look

3. Build your critter – glue body parts onto shell – don’t forget the tail!
4. Gotta have a smile and eyes, and turtle toenails! Use a pen – fill in the eyeball with a glaze pen or dimensional glue, or for real cuteness…add one of those moving craft eyes from the kid’s craft department!
