Create a Basket
by Tammy Malone
March 6, 2008
Make this cute basket for almost any occasion in just a matter of minutes!
The supplies you will need are:
- Cardstock or Patterned Paper
- Ruler
- Cutting Blade
- Adhesive
- Embellishments of your choice
Step 1:
- Cut your paper or cardstock into a square that is divisible by 3, i.e 6 x 6-inches, 9 x 9-inches, 12 x12-inches, etc.
Step 2:
- Score your paper so that you have a grid with 9 equal squares
- I have highlighted the score marks with pen so you can see them, but you will not want to do this

Step 3:
- You will cut only along the score marks that I have highlighted with a dashed line.
- At this point you will want to do any embellishing that requires a flat surface, such as glitter, painting, stamping, etc.

Step 4:
- Begin pulling up your sides and adhere them to the side flap. You will want them to overlap just slightly.

Step 5:
- Cut a strip of paper for your handle and adhere to the inside of your basket.

Step 6:
- Add any additional embellishments to your basket
- Fill with goodies!
