Making a Simple Shadowbox Embellishment

Materials:
- Paper (I chose double-sided cardstock because I like the effect)
- Paper Cutter
- Glue Dots

Step 1: Using your paper cutter, cut the cardstock into a square. I randomly chose 3".

Step 2: Fold the square in half: bottom-to-top.

Step 3: Fold the square in half: left-to-right. This should mark the center of your square.

Step 4: Take one of the corners and fold it to meet the center of the square.

Step 5: Fold each corner into the center.

Step 6: Take one of the center points and fold it back out, creasing about ¼" from the edge.

Step 7: Fold back each point.

Step 8: Use a glue dot under the edge fold to hold it down. This will make it a bit flatter.

Now all you need to do is add your "showcase" item and attach to your page. In the following layout I used a larger box for journaling and the smaller box to highlight a stamp.

Enjoy!!
