Supplies you will need:

* Library pocket template.
* Cardstock, embossed paper, patterned paper etc. to cut the library pocket from.
* pencil
* scissors
* tape runner or glue of choice

First Step: a

Go to Mirkwood Designs to print a free library pocket template. To print just the template, right click on the image, choose print picture, then print onto a piece of sturdy white cardstock. Cut it out, then use that as a template to cut others.

Second Step:

Using the template as a guide, trace around it lightly with the pencil onto whatever paper you are using to make the pocket from.

Note: If you are using an embossed paper, turn the paper over so that the raised image is toward your work area. This will allow that the raised images to be on the front of the folded up part of the pocket once you are done.

Third Step:

Using your scissors cut out the now traced library pocket.

Fourth Step: Time to fold the library pocket.

1. Using the template as the guide, fold up the bottom part. If you want a very crisp fold, you can use the edge of your scissors to make it crisp or use a bone folder if you have one. I usually just use my fingers.

2. Turn the library pocket over, and proceed the fold the two flaps over the back. Again creasing the fold.

3. Adhere the flaps with your tape runner or glue of choice by applying the tape/glue to the back side of the flap then folding it over to the back of the pocket.

Finished Library Pocket

After you have finished making your library pocket, you can embellish it as desired, use chalks to lightly enhance some of the embossed images is you used embossed paper etc. You may want to make a coordinating card to fit into your pocket to use as your journaling card.

Use your pocket to hold extra photos, hidden journaling, or memorabilia from a trip.
