Heat Embossed Stamped Images

You can use the stamps you have on hand along with a few other items to create glossy images for your pages, altered items and more.

Supplies you will need:

* heat gun
* embossing powder(s) in desired colors
* cardstock or other item your are wanting to add the heat embossed image to
* stamp(s) of choice
* Versamark stamp pad (you can also use an embossing pen which is a pen version of the stamp)
* stamp cleaner and cloth to clean your stamp(s) afterwards
* sheet of cardboard covered in foil (not necessary, but helps reflect the heat and caused the powder to emboss faster)

Once you have your supplies assembled, you are ready to begin. Start by loading your stamp with the sticky "ink" from the Versamark pad or embossing pen.

Firmly press your stamp onto the cardstock, etc.

Using the embossing powder color you chose, sprinkle over the stamped image.

You can tap the excess onto a sheet of paper and then pour it back into your container.

Using your heat gun, heat up the image with the powder on it until you see the powder turn with a glossy, shiny, metallic look to it. Be careful when doing this as the heat gun will get very hot. Using the cardboard with foil wrapped on it, helps to reflect the heat back to the image and causes it to turn to the glossy, shiny, metallic look faster. Caution is advised to use the heat gun properly. So read the instruction manual that came with yours.

Here is the finished card with the heat embossed, stamped image on it.
