Doodling 101

Doodling is nothing new. We have doodled while in school, doodled while on the phone, and doodled just to do it. Doodling has become popular in scrapbooking - in the form of stamping, rub ons, and self-made doodles. Doodling is everywhere - from music videos to advertising. As popular as it is, some people are intimidated by doodling. I hope this article encourages you to give it a try.
You can doodle with just about anything. Some of the popular pens to use are Zig or Micron pens, Sakura Jelly Roll pens, and Sharpie white paint pen. You can doodle with colored pencils, markers, and many other writing pens.
Begin with something simple - like a swirl or curve.

Next, add another swirl or curve. Add a few tiny circles or more curves.
Try some floral designs, or scrolls and flourishes. Experiment with your own designs. Remember, you are just getting the feel of this, so don’t think you will “mess up”. Doodling is as unique as your handwriting, so just have fun.
