Creating a Creativity Jar
by Laura Williams
Have you often needed a gift for a fellow scrapbooker but wanted to give something other than supplies or a gift card? A Creativity Jar is a great solution. The jar holds strips of colored cardstock with ideas to get those creative juices flowing. Things such as journaling prompts or embellishment suggestions are included on the strips
Supplies you will need:
* a jar with lid
* cardstock (colors of choice)
* list of journaling prompts, other scrapbook layout
or card ideas
* font or fonts of choice
* computer & printer
* scissors or paper trimmer
* embellishments to decorate the jar - i.e. ribbon,
tags, flowers, etc.

Begin by compiling your lists of ideas for the strips. Once you have them compiled, print them out onto the cardstock.
Once printed, using your paper trimmer or your scissors, cut the strips apart.

Once you have all the strips cut apart, fold them once or twice and place into the jar.
After you have all strips folded and in the jar, you can decorate the lid and jar.
Paint the lid if it's wooden, adhere ribbon, decorate a tag and tie it on. Decorating the jar is just part of the fun of this project and adds appeal to the finished project.
