All About Tags Class
Tags part 3 by Andrea Cloutier
Welcome to week three of the All About Tags course! So far, we've worked with tag templates downloaded from the Internet and made special tags using regular office tags, then altered some tags using shrink plastic or ink. Since there are many companies out there that provide pre-made tags to complement their papers, let's take a look at some pre-made tags and different ways to embellish them.
PART ONE of week three
1. Pre-made tags are terrific for a fast accent to any project or page. Many times just a simple date printed on a pre-made tag or ribbon at the top will be the finishing touch to a layout. Many patterned paper manufacturers have recognized the tag sheet as a valuable addition to their product line. Many patterns can be mixed and matched throughout one specific line or even across lines, that a pre-made tag allows the scrapbooker to coordinate without using a whole sheet of paper. Here are some examples of pre-made tags from some of the hottest manufacturers:

2. Your first assignment for this week is to find some pre-made tags in your stash and use them "as is" on a layout or on an altered item. They can be tags similar to the ones shown above or die cut from a machine. Share your creation with us in the Tag Making Class gallery when you have completed the assignment.
Here are some examples to get your creativity started.
This layout uses stickers that are shaped like tags in the lower right. I added the baby's name and date to the tags.

Let's do some altering to our pre-made tags to take them beyond their original form.
1. Find some more pre-made tags and embellish them with stamping, ribbon, rhinestones and more! Create 3 of them, all using different embellishments. Share your tags with us here when you have completed the assignment.
2. Take at least one of those tags and use it on a layout or altered project. Share your creation with us in the Tag Making Class gallery when you have completed the assignment.
