Chipboard Circle Wreath

The holidays are my favorite time of year. Starting with Halloween, I love to add hand crafted items that fit the season to our house. For the Christmas Season, I created a wreath to hang on our front door using circles punched from thin chipboard.
Supplies
Thin Chipboard
Different Patterned papers
The BORDERline glue stick, Ad Tech
Circle Punches (Marvy Uchida Mega and Giga, EK Success)
Buttons, Chipboard pieces or other embellishments
Ribbon
Hole Punch
Black Pen (01 or 03)

1. Punch eight circles out of thin chipboard using the Giga sized punch (3" punch). Punch four circles using the Mega sized punch (2" punch). These will become the base of the wreath. Using the EK Success 1 3/4" punch 12 or 13 circles, most of which will be used to stabilize the project.
2. Punch eight Giga sized circles from at least three different patterned papers. Punch three Mega sized circles from the same pattern paper, but not the papers used for the Giga sized circles. I used a red text paper for my mega circles. The last mega chipboard circle is for a photo. Using the BORDERline glue stick, add the patterned papers to the chipboard circles.
3. Use the EK Success 1 3/4" size to punch five circles from the patterned paper. Add them to five of the chipboard circles. Left over chipboard circles will be used in step 5.

4.Once all the circles are covered with patterned paper, use a Mega punch to cut out a photo. I used a black and white photo to contrast the bold colors of the patterned papers

5. Create a ring shape using the eight Giga sized circles, where the chipboard side is facing up. The chipboard circles should touch but not overlap. Using the 1 3/4" sized circles, glue them to the large circles so that each seam is covered. This will create the support that your wreath needs.

6. Flip the wreath over so that the patterned papers are facing up. Start adding the remaining circles. At each place that two of the Giga sized circles meet, overlap the seam with one, or more, of the other chipboard circles.

7. Add buttons, tags, rub-ons, or any other matching embellishment. I used the star and tree buttons-tags with Christmas words on them-and a black pen to outline each circle.

8. Punch a hole at the top and add a ribbon loop. To make the loop look more finished, I tied a bow and added it just below the punched hole using a glue dot.

Here is the final wreath hanging on a door.
