Supplies Needed:
Tin
Patterned paper
Three colors of cardstock
Square, O and X die or paper punch
Mod Podge
Ribbon
Rub-ons, ink, or other embellishments as desired
Magnetic Tape
cardboard

Cut your paper to size and adhere to the box, inside and out using Mod Podge. Cover with three layers of Mod Podge on the top and inside of the box.

When dry, embellish the top of your box as desired. I used ink and rub-ons. I also added twill to the sides.

Add strips of cardstock to form the grid for your Tic Tac Toe game inside the box. The size will vary depending on the dimensions of your box. Ink the edges if desired.

Cut squares from cardboard. For a fun variation, if you are making a Valentine Tic-Tac-Toe like I did, you could use a heart shape instead of a square.

Cut squares, O's and X's using your die cut machine (or paper punch).

Using Mod Podge, adhere your cardstock squares (I used beige) to the cardboard. Then adhere the O's and X's to the squares with Mod Podge. Distress with ink if desired and add Mod Podge another time or two . When the squares are entirely dry, apply magnetic tape to the back side of them.

Walla! Magnetic Tic-Tac-Toe board, and the pieces can store in the lid.
