Halloween Collections are spooky by design and Flair Designs' new Spellbound line follows suit. Not cutesy or overly scary, Spellbound finds a good middle ground while providing the necessary Halloween icons. With the six 12" x 12" patterned papers, you'll find spiders, ghosts, bats, black cats and pumpkins which are the traditional holiday characteristics. The pattern that really caught my eye though, "Voodoo Dolls", adds a decidedly creepy twist to the standard Halloween fare. Love it! Bring on those skull and crossbones with voodoo dolls!

Along with the patterns are the appropriate colors in Spellbound. Black, green, orange and red keep the mood going as you mix and match the papers. Speaking of the papers, they are single-sided with a tab listing the name of that pattern and collection. The paper is a nice medium weight, strong enough to serve as a foundation and light enough to tear and distress with ease.

There are 2 cardstock sticker modules available to coordinate with the papers. Each have an ample amount of designs in full color and all die cut shapes. Pictures mixed with holiday wording can add a great embellishment to any Halloween project. The Pick-A-Pumpkin sheet has 22 pumpkins to choose from, all varying in size and facial expression. There are even some that have the facial features die cut to use independently or on your own pumpkin design!

I really enjoyed mixing and matching 3 of the 6 different patterned papers to make the mosaic squares and background for this page. A square punch worked it's magic to create the pieces along the edge. Each pattern is repeated across the page, making it a cinch to capture different parts of the scene and still see the pattern. The cardstock stickers added some extra embellishing for the title and among the mosaic squares.

Halloween is a great time to give little treat bags to friends and family. Stephanie demonstrated making a mini gift bag in the appropriately named how-to: Making a MIni Gift Bag and I knew the Spellbound line would be perfect for this! I put 2 patterns sheets back-to-back since they are single-sided in order to get the double pattern as Stephanie shows in her how-to. Pretty simple with a great result!

I just had to use the Voodoo Dolls paper again, so I whipped up a card. I got this cute stamp last year and finally am using it for the first time! Such a perfect image to go along with this collection!

The Spellbound Collection is really fun and very appropriate for Halloween. Since there are two or three patterns particular to Halloween, the other patterns could be used for other themes like outdoors, farm or boy. For good, all around fun, Flair will have you "Spellbound" at Halloween!

Flair Designs is just one of those companies that you just know you are going to get great products from. The newest line that they sent for review is the Spellbound line of papers and stickers. I love Halloween. It is one of my favorite holidays. Not that I don’t seem to love every holiday. But I was excited to be receiving papers for Halloween, as I still have lots of Halloween pictures to scrap.

In my Review Team packet, I received two each of six different single-sided patterned papers along with two sheets of cardstock stickers. Although these papers at first seem like many other Halloween-themed patterned papers, upon closer inspection they are quite different. The patterns on these papers are funky and original, and can be used for so many different Halloween projects! The papers in this line are called: Going Batty, Voodoo Dolls, Halloween Words, Black Cat Boogie, Creepy-Crawly Dots, and Boo! What fun names for Halloween papers! The two Cardstock sticker sheets that I received are Pick-A-Pumpkin, and Spellbound. The stickers are quite thick, and add a bit of depth to each project, and also have a glossy texture.

I knew right away when I saw the Creepy-Crawly Dots paper that I wanted to create a scrapbook page with pictures of my son getting a spider-web face painting at a Gall carnival. The spiders and spider-webs are the perfect papers to highlight these pictures.

I love jack-o-lanterns. Every year, our whole family gets involved in carving several different pumpkins to set out on our porch on Halloween night. Whenever I saw the sheet of Pick-A-Pumpkin stickers, I knew that I wanted to use most of them on one project to create a border. I decided to highlight pictures of our family of jack-o-lanterns from last years’ Halloween using a jack-o-lantern border as the largest accent on the page. Once I got the pictures to print out, creating my scrapbook page was easy work.

I love Flair Designs papers. Using a whole collection of them, along with coordinating stickers for embellishments makes creating scrapbook layouts fun and simple. Everything in each of the Flair Designs product collections just seems to flow together easily. For this Halloween season, you must find the Spellbound Collection from Flair Designs.

Got Flair? If you don’t you need to! Flair has recently released their new Halloween collection, which they have named Spellbound. And that's what you'll be when you see it - spellbound, because it is fantastic! The collection includes 6 patterned papers, in traditional Halloween colors, with traditional Halloween images. The designs include spiders, bats, ghosts and goblins, black cats and pumpkins. There is also a sheet containing Voodoo dolls and skulls, which is totally perfect for scrapping photos of older children and adults. Also included is a traditional sheet of Flair's wordart, all Halloween-related words in black and yellow on an orange background. Accompanying the papers are two separate sets of cardstock stickers: one sheet of a variety of pumpkins and a sheet of assorted shapes and words.

For this review, I received two of each of the six patterned papers and one of each of the cardstock sticker sets. I'm so behind in my scrapping that I have photos from last Halloween still waiting for their turn, and this collection was ideal to use since my son is older. He actually dressed up for the first time in a few years and, along with his best friend, hammed it up for my camera. I used Halloween Words and Going Batty on this fun layout. Several stickers from the two coordinating sets added just the right feel to the page.

I've wanted to create a photo calendar for a while and finally found the perfect acrylic frame for one. This October page features a photo plus three of the picture squares cut from the Black Cat Boogie paper. The background is a piece of Voodoo Dolls, perfect for these older boys having fun!

Flair continues to impress me with the quality of their product and the variety and innovation of their designs. I was happy to see a more versatile, mature Halloween collection, that could easily be used with photos of older persons as well as youngsters. I really like the cardstock sticker assortment; these creative stickers make embellishing a card or layout a breeze! Way to go, once again, Flair!!

Do you love ghosts and goblins and all things Halloween? If so, you will love the new collection of Halloween papers from Flair designs. The Spellbound collection from Flair design is true to the Flair tradition. As with most Flair collections, it has unique artwork, in bright cheery colors that really convey the spirit of Halloween.

For this review, I received two sheets each of the following papers:

I also received one sheet each of the Spellbound Cardstock stickers and Pick a Pumpkin cardstock stickers.

The papers in this collection all very much resemble the names they were given. For example, if you are looking for a bat theme, the Going Batty paper is just that. Because the papers are named so closely to their actual theme, it is much easier than normal to select the paper you need for your project. In addition, the artwork on this collection is a high quality. The patterns, while very themed, are very appropriate for Halloween layouts that have a more sophisticated look.

For my project, I used the Black Cat Boogie and Going Batty papers to create a backdrop for my friend’s little “dressed up dolls.” The papers have just enough contrast to make the photos pop from the page. I also used may of the stickers from the Spellbound Sticker sheet. I really like the large brackets and photo corners that are featured on most sticker sheets offered by Flair, and found these particularly appropriate for the theme.

All in all, I really enjoyed working with the Flair Spellbound collection. My only wish is that the papers had been more versatile in their use. I really like to purchase products that can be used in a variety of ways. I really enjoy working with products that can be used in a variety of ways. Otherwise, this collection is a lot of fun. If you are scrapping Halloween, you should definitely try this collection.

Flair Designs creates some of the the cutest themed paper and stickers on the market today. They come up with very unique designs that are not limited to juvenile subjects, but can be used for a variety of ages. I appreciate this since I have older boy photos to scrap. Halloween is a difficult theme for me to scrap, so I was looking forward to some new ghostly inspiration from this Flair Designs Spellbound Collection.

For this review, I received 12 medium weight patterned papers (12"x12"), two of each design, and two cards of Spellbound cardstock stickers (5.5"x8"). The patterned papers are aptly named: Boo, Black Cat Boogie, Creepy-Crawly Dots, Halloween Words, Voodoo Dolls, and Going Batty. I love all the designs, which is rare for me. If you were to ask me to choose a favorite, I would have to say "Boo", no, wait, "Voodoo Dolls"...or maybe "Going Batty", or... really, it's hard to choose a favorite because they are all great!

The colors used in this line are what I usually think of as traditional Halloween colors, black, orange, yellow, brown, with a smattering of dark blue, green, and plum. When I looked back on my Halloween pages, I find that I use these colors almost exclusively (great!) however, I very rarely use patterned paper. Do I sense a challenge coming?

The cardstock stickers coordinate perfectly with the Spellbound paper collection. One sheet has a variety of jack-o-lantern faces and the second sheet has a wonderful selection of frames, embellishments, titles, tabs and words. Both the patterned paper and stickers are subtly distressed for a really authentic fright night feel!

Something that I have wanted to do for ages is create a Haunted House. When I received these Flair papers, I realized that they were perfect for my project! I cut chipboard walls, a roof, and window shutters for the house, then painted the insides and edges with black paint. I covered the outsides with patterned paper and Mod Podge and glued the covered house pieces together with Tacky Glue. For the roof I used a circle punch, cut the punchies (Halloween Words) in half and put them on the roof. For the path I cut "stones from "Black Cat Boogie". I distressed the edges of all the pieces to continue the goulish atmosphere.

This Spellbound paper is a great weight for altered projects. I had no problems with tearing or bubbling while using Mod Podge!

A couple of years ago my son was a Spelunker for Halloween. "Going Batty" paper was the perfect complement to photos of this costume. I created a "cave" for him with some "Creepy-Crawly Dots" paper and cut out "Trick-or-Treat" from the "Halloween Words" paper. I didn't have much room for photo matts, so I sanded the edges of the photos with rough sand paper instead. The "Black Cat Boogie" paper has a lot of great square accents that I cut out and inked to use as embellishments. Finally, I used acrylic paint for the title and outlined each letter with a glitter pen.

I highly recommend this collection for your Halloween projects. It's fresh and fun. Great for cards, party favors or pages for all ages. You'll have a blast creating and your projects will be talked about for centuries...hahahahaha
