Review by ChrisFresh and fabulous is how I would describe most of Flair’s collections, whatever their name. So it’s only fitting that they have created a collection by that exact name – Fresh and Fabulous! This latest release from Flair features six double-sided heavy weight patterned papers, a sheet of cardstock stickers and a sheet of transparent stickers. Fresh and Fabulous is feminine and flirty. The colors are a wonderful mixture of pinks, purples, oranges, and blues. The patterns are fun flowers, swirls, stripes and paisleys. This collection is perfect for layouts of little girls, teenagers, friendship, girls night out, weddings, showers, spring, Mothers Day. Any project that needs a little sass will surely benefit from Fresh and Fabulous.
I received two of each of the six patterned papers, one sheet of cardstock stickers and one of the clear-cut stickers. I love the double-sided feature of this collection. Instead of light-weight paper, these papers are more cardstock weight and the double-sided patterns give the collection twelve different designs! As usual, the cardstock stickers feature elements such as photo corners, brackets, swirls, and arrows and come printed with various designs and words. The All Girl clear-cut stickers can be used as titles or accent elements.
I used this collection paired with a Becky Fleck sketch to create a layout featuring photos from my niece's recent high school graduation. These papers capture that fun, sassy feeling that I think of when I see my niece. The smaller patterns worked perfectly with this color-blocked design.

Of course, I could not stop at one project. I also created a couple of cards. These papers are so bright and cheerful. I cannot wait for an opportunity to send these cards to some friends. I just know they will brighten someone's day.
This heavier weight paper really stands up to a variety of techniques. On this card, I added machine stitching to two of the pieces and put a third piece through my paper crimper. The paper really holds the crimped shape! I punched small holes in the three cardstock sticker hearts and added some wire from which to hang them. I added a pop dot to each to allow them to stand off the page. The clear-cut stickers were the perfect embellishment and greeting for this card.

A second card was surely in order from this fantastic collection. I used embossing folders and a die cut machine to add embossed texture to two pieces of tha patterned paper. These papers hold an embossed design extremely well giving even more versatility to this collection.

This latest release from Flair will surely bring a smile to your face. It is most aptly named, Fresh and Fabulous. The heavier weight and double-sided printing of the papers truly add to its versatility. The per sheet price is a little higher ($.80) but surely worth it given the added patterns and extra weight of the paper.
Review by ReneeFlair has done it again. That’s all I can say about the new Fresh and Fabulous collection. It is fresh and fun, happy and sassy, all in one. And, it’s a girl thing. It is all about us girls, in our favorite colors and filled with our favorite designs.
As with all the other Flair designs products, this one has cute themed designs perfect for those girly pages and cards. But, instead on one design per page, this collection has two, one on each side. This collection is a heavy weight cardstock paper which is double sided, with each side having a cute design to use on those girl centered pages. The color palette is filled with pinks, blues, greens and purples. The motifs include both flowers and butterflies.
For this review, I received two sheets each of six different papers, including Paisley Dreams, Fashionista, Diva Dots, Drama-rama, Girl Talk, and Fun and Flirty. As noted above, each of these papers is cardstock weight and has a design on each side. I also received one each of the cardstock stickers and clear sticker modules. The best thing of all in the collection is that each paper is designed to have both pages specifically coordinate together. For example, one side of the Paisley Dreams paper features teal, orange and gold paisleys. The corresponding side features butterflies on a blue background. Each of the butterflies is fashioned from the Paisley paper of the other side. For those who dislike matching patterned papers, all the guess work is removed using these papers.
For my first project, I created a layout featuring a picture of me that was a “happy find” as I downloaded our recent cabin pictures from our earlier vacation. I chose to pair Fashionista (the striped pattern) with a distressed piece of the Girl Talk to create a girly backdrop for my photo.

Review by TammyFresh and Fabulous – that is what the new summer collection from Flair Designs is all about!
The Fresh and Fabulous collection consists of 6 different double-sided cardstock patterns and a sheet of Clear Cut stickers and cardstock stickers. From pinks and purples, to orange and turquoise, this collection is sure to give you the “Girl Power” you need to create “Fresh and Fabulous” projects!
The Fresh and Fabulous collection is made up of many different patterns; words, stripes, flowers, paisley, and much more. While the colors and patterns are beautiful, I found it rather hard to mix and match the patterns within this collection, but they worked very well with the pattern found on the reverse side of each cardstock sheet.
For my first project I chose to use both sides of Paisley Dreams and added a photo mat of Fashionista (diamond pattern). I die cut the Paisley Dreams to give me the bracket background and then added a strip behind the photo mat. The layout was very simple and easy to create and the added strip of Flair Paper Trim found in my stash was just the extra touch I needed. I finished the page by replacing the dot from the “I’s” with cardstock stickers from the Fresh and Fabulous cardstock sticker sheet and added a clear cut sticker of flowers over the Flair Paper Trim and my photograph.

With some of the leftovers from my layout I decided to create a quick card. I used the striped pattern of Fashionista and layered it onto a piece of Diva Dots. I added a flower sticker from the Clear Cut sticker sheet on a piece of white cardstock and layered that onto another piece of Diva Dots. I finished it off by adding a cardstock sticker and my card was finished and ready to send to friend.

Flair Designs has once again provided the consumer with another fabulous collection in new trendy colors that will make all of your designs, “Fresh and Fabulous”!
Review by StephanieOh my goodness, I just got Flair’s new Fresh & Fabulous line and I am in love!!!!! Flair has always provided great quality papers and I have had the privilege of working with a number of Flair’s products this past year. But, oh my, this new line is amazing. It’s a double sided, heavy weight pattern paper that is absolutely stunning. This collection comes in soft shades of pinks and blues and greens. It is a very feminine collection with its collection of girl icons and phrases.
For my review I received 2 sheets of 6 designs. Since the papers are double sided, I received the full line of 12 sheets. With names such as Fashionista, Diva Dots, Girl Talk, Paisley Dreams, Fun & Flirty and Drama-Rama, you can create beautiful layouts with this collection. I was also sent 2 sets of sticker sheets. As with all their collections, Flair gives you true value with the quality and quantity of stickers. The Fresh & Fabulous Cardstock Sticker Sheet contains approximately 25 cardstock stickers in a variety of shapes and styles and assorted colors. It also contains words like Diva, Fabulous and Girl’s Rule. The All Girl Clear Cut Sticker Sheet contains 11 clear quotes and designs in assorted fonts and sizes.
My first project is a 12" x 12" layout and I used Girl Talk, Fashionista and Diva Dots to create a very girly page. I love how the papers complemented each other so well. Combining them with Prism cardstock was a perfect touch. I used the clear cut stickers as accents, created a journaling block from the brackets, and used additional cardstock stickers for added fun.

My next layout came together easily because these papers are so easy to work with. Starting with a base of black cardstock, I used Fashionista, Paisley Dreams and Diva Dots. I cut a flower from Diva Dots and I cut out a section of words from Girl Talk for my title. I love the variety of words, fonts and sizes included on the Girl Talk paper - it really gives you so many possibilities. Adding cardstock stickers completed my layout quickly and easily.

I just have to make cards whenever I get a Flair line. The coordinated papers and stickers make for some fabulous cards. I even lightly embossed the first card for some added dimension.

Thanks Flair for yet another wonderful collection of papers and stickers. I love the addition of double sided papers to your paper lines and I hope to see more in the near future. The papers are gorgeous and I love being about to utilize both sides. Of course in my opinion, this is another MUST have line.
Review by WendyFlair Designs has been a leader in the scrapbooking world since its start in 2004. They bring a wide selection of papers and embellishments with a variety of themes from BBQ's to Christmas. I had the pleasure of reviewing one of their new collections, Fresh and Fabulous. With lots of flowers, paisleys and pinks its marketed for a girly theme, but as I show in my samples it doesn't have to be just for girls.
I received 2 sheets of each of the thick double sided papers; Fashionista, Diva Dots, Drama Rama, Paisley Dreams, Fun & Flirty and Girl Talk. They consisted of a variety of fun designs such as paisleys, birds, and flowers in bright purples, pinks, oranges and teal. In addition, I also received a set of the All Girl Clear Cut Stickers and a set of Fresh and Fabulous Cardstock Stickers.
I loved the bird images in the Paisley Dreams pattern paper, but found the colors just wouldn't work with my layout. I wanted a more subdued effect. I cut out three of the birds from the pattern paper and used them as a mask to chalk over. Next I painted the bird cutouts with white acrylic paint. A thinner weight paper would have buckled and curled when wet but Flair's thick pattern papers held up beautifully.

With so many fun sentiments on the Girl Talk pattern paper, this paper makes creating a card easy. I let the pattern paper shine by simply highlighting one phrase. All that was needed was a pretty bow and a few Fresh and Fabulous Cardstock Stickers. Sometimes you'll find cardstock stickers that are cut a bit off center from the design, but not Flair's Cardstock Stickers. They were cut perfectly. I was able to reposition the stickers easily without the pattern paper or stickers ripping.

I enjoy cutting out patterns from pattern paper and using them to create embellishments for cards or layouts. As soon as I saw the Paisley Dream paper I thought the paisleys would make great flowers. I cut out an assortment of paisleys and arranged them to create the flower. The thick pattern paper cut like a dream and held its shape when curled and popped up on foam adhesive.

For my last card I wanted to accent the Clear Cut stickers. I adhered two of the stickers to a piece of office transparency and used that to create the middle section of the card. Although I loved the adorable flower images and sentiments that were available to chose from, I would have preferred if the stickers had been cut closer to the image. The shiny square from the stickers was difficult to blend into the design. I would have loved to have these same cute images available also in rubons, but at only $1.99 they are still a great addition.
